Such a huge disappointment from Cali’s tacos today. After several recommendations I ordered a couple birria tacos, & my husband ordered the steak burrito for which we paid extra for. We also added on and paid extra for jalapeños, lettuce, & sour cream as well as the bigger tortilla which was like $6 in extras added. We asked for no beans bc my husband cannot eat them due to an allergy & thank god I happened to double check his burrito…to my surprise it was the basic burrito with chicken on their menu. The birria was quite literally thrown together and not even fried properly or at all for the end steps. We tried to call the store right after receiving but bc they were set to close within a couple minutes they wouldn’t answer. You can tell they did not care to have an order placed 45 mins before closing, but why allow it then? This was $35 worth of food.

New customer! First time trying and I definitely will be back. The birria tacos were phenomenal. The atmosphere is definitely take out vibes which is totally cool and honestly makes for better food in my opinion. Sometimes when the restaurant needs tending to, I feel the food can lack. Not the case here!! Food was fabo.

When I was visiting California many years ago, I had tried their burritos, being surprised at the quantity of rice and other ingredients in it. So different than American burritos I had experienced up to that point! I have never found a place that had food that came close to that until now. I was driving by, saw the sign on the building and decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed. The food and flavor was excellent. The chicken burrito I ordered had huge chunks of chicken that I did not have to look for and the flavor was perfect. I will definitely be back. Thank you for making Saint Clair Shores your home.

Cali Tacos has the most amazing food, their birria tacos are killer!! We just tried their new dish called Fajita Fiesta Pasta and WOW is it so freaking good. They always provide the highest quality meals at a great price. Customer service is consistently friendly and kind. I recommend the Cali burrito, Mexican pizza and really anything on the menu.

I have no idea how this place is holding its rating so high. It's been going downhill for the past year. Prices keep getting higher and quality goes down. Today I bought fajitas $18.01. Hardly had any steak, just greasy peppers. Fatty chewy gristle on the steak and 2 pieces of bone in it that seriously had me think a filling fell out of a tooth broke..spit it out and my tooth was fine, just 2 hunks of bone attached to the strings of fatty meat. I don't think I'll ever go back because that's crazy expensive for what I got even if I didn't have chewy meat and bone in my meal. Photo is where I stopped eating after the bone incident.

The food is always excellent. Service is great. This place is 95% carry-out, with very limited dine-in seating. Hence, the low "atmosphere" rating (because there really isn't much of one, beyond generally welcoming). But hey, you don't go to a place like this for the atmosphere; you go there for the knock-your-socks-off great food at a very reasonable price.

Great food, friendly and welcoming staff! It was our first time there and now I’m wondering what took us so long! Just good authentic Mexican food at very reasonable prices! Not a big dinning area so don’t go with a crowd, more of a carry out place, but we did eat inside and it was nice! Will definitely be going back soon!

OMG…best authentic Mexican I’ve ever had!!! these guys do an amazing job with any dish I’ve tried! And always served with a smile😃
