One of the best family owned restaurants around. The staff, the food, the experience is amazing!!! Be sure to check this place out when in Clemson. You won't be disappointed. The owner George is an amazing human being that takes pride in his restaurants and food to another level.

First two times we went, everything was great and we really enjoyed the food and service. I had the fried shrimp during those visits and left thinking that was the best I had in a while. That was at least two months ago. We took guests there last weekend and something has changed because mine and another person's shrimp were over cooked (rubbery, hard to cut and hard to chew), and nobody enjoyed their meals out of the four of us. One ordered steak and one ordered fish. Went away after spending $200+ feeling bad and foolish about taking our guests there.

We had our rehearsal dinner and welcome party here and it was absolutely phenomenal!! We got a limited menu for the rehearsal dinner and appetizers for the welcome party. Everything from drinks, dinner, dessert, and appetizers were all delicious. I wish I could remember our servers names because they were great! We cannot recommend Calhoun Corners enough!

Really has high hopes for this place great building awesome atmosphere we expected a Above average dining experience . We made a reservation arrived on time grabbed a drink at the bar service was great the dining not so much. Took 42 min to get drinks at our table we spent over 2.5 hours I held my two children asleep for over a hour. We ordered the beef Wellington the filet and the salmon with a variety of appetizers. This was the biggest disappointment. Over cooked under seasoned on all dishes. the Wellington was covered in a over amount of puff pastry and the meat was the color of pot roast this is a dish that is tuff to master and they just underperformed on all accounts. Salmon was dry escargot, was what seemed to be boiled in olive oil and onions no garlic or Parmesan to be seen. even the Cesar salad was bland, oh and the jambalaya was sweet with apples and dry chunks of chicken and sun-dried tomatoes and absolute no no on so may accounts. Prices are not terrible though 6 people came in around 400 bucks. They definitely have their favorite they catered to is pretty apparent. Again great venue with good drinks, food and service really is sub par in my option my suggestion try a burger and have a drink don’t wast money on the steaks Texas road house has a better steak and that’s not saying a lot.

Wow, what a beautiful old building with amazing & delicious food. Our waitress, Logan, couldn’t have been kinder. Answered all of our questions & explained each special. She even chatted with my daughter about a wine they shared interest in & told her where she could buy it. If all wait staff could be this kind. Beautiful inside & out. Would definitely visit again if in the area!!

Hopefully constructive criticism. Our first visit for a Monday evening cocktail after so many positive referrals. Taylor was welcoming and the mushrooms and martinis were great. Such a warm, inviting environment and great service. Criticism: this great environment was interrupted - loudly and often - by incoming phone calls! Certainly important to the restaurant, but of zero interest to your guests. Such loud, incredible, and ceaseless annoyance. Please make it stop and find a different way way to respond to your potential guests who want your attention. Hope to return soon. Mark

Was travelling South for the Summer and stopped at Clemson for a Visit. Found Calhoun's and was not disappointed!! The Service was AMAZING and the food was even better. Already Scheduling another trip next summer this was so good!

We have been going to Calhoun Corners for 12 years. It has always been a special place for birthdays, anniversary celebrations and New Years Eve. Last night was our anniversary and we were excited about our dinner at Calhoun Corners. Sadly, after all these years… it was a major disappointment!!! The service was awful!!! The manager who came out was arrogant!!! And the hostess was rude!!! When the food came out of was cold. I usually get their prime rib and it is usually wonderful but not last night, it was overcooked and tasteless. They did not treat us the way we have been treated in the past- perhaps things are changing at Calhoun Corners. It was not worth the high price tag due to the staff and the lack of service as well as lack of quality. It will be a long time before we attempt to try again!! There are other places to spend our money where our patronage is appreciated with much better food. Sorry we chose them for our anniversary!!!!
