Get up there every year for the swap meet/cruise in. Lots of near stuff and good folks.
Never going back. They made you pay $5 to get in, then you had to buy a unlimited ride wristband that was $25.Each ride was three or four tickets. Each ticket was 1.50.
The management of this facility is no good. Do not recommend doing events here.
I was here for the rabies vaccines. Flowed perfect, and very kind caring people. Several people even loved on my baby (Bassett Hound) when he cried about his shot. Lol
Overall it was good! Bummed that there were only a few rides up and running. Fair was a great family distraction, considering Covid had kept us quarantined for several weeks! Enjoyed laughing and spending time with my husband and our kiddos.
Last year the lady operating some sort of scrambler machine didn't secure me and just walked past me and I just raised my hand cause I was starting to get worried and she just started the ride and I had to hold on to the seatbelt until the couple in front of my noticed and helped me get myself secured. Glad I didn't get injured tho lol
The Caldwell county fairgrounds itself is a wonderful place to have for fairs and festivals and such. they're only seems to be a couple visits from the fair a year and some rabies vaccinations for your pets. Utilize this place and make something more out of it. do more events, have things to do around town.
It was great watching my kids have fun, but it was a bit rough. Quite a few of the rides kept needing to be stopped for fixing every few minutes. It was $20 for EACH wristband no matter the age. Each ride varies, but most would be 3 tickets to ride... so by the time my two kids ride a few rides each, you might as well get the wristband instead of paying for several tickets. When it came to animals, we saw cows. Very over priced for not much going on. Again, glad my boys had a good time so I gave 3 stars for those grins!
