Loved it! The food is phenomenal! The fish stew is a must try! The best I ever had! Same for lobster roll!
My friend and I stopped in after working an event. It was our first time there, the service and the food were fantastic. Very satisfied with everything and glad to add a new restaurant to stops nearby when working in that area. 💗
Stopped by for a quick lunch back in October '23. The staff (especially the head bartender) were on top of everything. Very fast and friendly service and great food and drinks. Definitely a must-do if you ever visit this town.
Cala’s is a great restaurant a 2 minute walk from the train. It has a nice bar to gather for drinks, good food and weekly specials like 1/2 price tacos on Tuesday’s. The craft beer selection includes four or five locals brews from north east MA. The food was favorable, service was fast, and the wait staff friendly. Cala’s went out of their way offering a free dessert to the table next to us when the dessert they ordered was no longer available.
First of all, the restaurant has a cozy very lovely environment. The place has a warm feeling, it's very clean and it just feels like home. The service was great. Hannah was the nicest lady we met on our trip to Massachusetts. She was very servicios, very attentive, she knew her way around the menu and made really good recommendations regarding our likes and cravings. The food was just perfect. More than what we really hoped for, more than what we expected; it really blew us away. The meatloaf with broccolini and mashed potatoes was outstanding. The wings, the yucas, even the wine selection was great. An amazing place, a hidden gem in Manchester-by-the-sea, a definite place to return to; we will surely be back.
Amazing food and awesome staff! Was not expecting the size of bowl for the Mac n cheese but it was wonderful!
Friendly staff, nice and clean. Meals were very good but a bit over priced in my opinion. But that wouldn't stop me from going back. Lobster Roll was nice and fresh, served with fries that we're great. Fish tacos good but served with a plain white rice and black beans. Our cheese pizza was very good too.
TLDR: despicable service/ management Had to leave because the “manager” was yelling at me in the middle of the restaurant for handing her a passport as identification. I don’t know how you can work in service and lose you cool to the point where you’re yelling at and degrading your customers. I’m 25, it was 3pm, I didn’t even order a drink I was ID because I sat down. Yes without a doubt a United States passport is a valid form of identification within the United States, your manager is dumb and should get fired. So no I didn’t try the food, I don’t plan to and I seriously wouldn’t recommend coming here.
