Born and raised in New Orleans, living in Montana for the last 18 years, we are highly skeptical and judgmental of any restaurant in Montana that claims to serve Cajun food. Until we found Cafe Zydeco, we thought they didn't exist. Cafe Zydeco's gumbo, hush puppies, and beignets passed with flying colors for authentic Cajun flavor. I will say that fish doesn't belong in seafood gumbo, but it didn't disappoint. The shrimp was plentiful and the roux delicious. The hush puppies were the best, rivaling any that we've ever eaten. Overall, our party of 4 ordered the gumbo, crayfish Etouffee, shrimp po-boys, and hush puppies. Cafe Zydeco served up genuine Cajun food with friendly service at a good price. If you want some good Louisiana cooking that you don't have to prepare yourself, give CZ a try. (Now, if only they could get "real" french bread. :))
Really a shame the food is so bland. The place is cool! And comfortable. Maybe I need to order "the right things." Service was sub par. Would love to be a regular if the food matched the atmosphere.
This place is amazing. The food is out standing. So far we've had the gumbo, pasta zydeco, All That Jazz Po Boy, fried green tomatoes and best of all the best tasting alligator bites. The staff is very friendly too.
This food is amazing, I have never ordered anything i didn't like! There is outdoor seating, and they offer Big Sky sodas! Service is always great, and portions are well priced and big! Don't forget to order the hot, fresh, sugar topped beignets (pictured)! Also pictured are Cajun chips, a French dip sandwich and jambalaya.
I picked this restaurant because they had dog friendly patio seating & I knew my husband would love the food. I'm pretty picky but after talking with the wonderful server I decided on the shrimp & grits. The "gravy" was a little spicy for my taste. I had never tried grits & they were so good! The creaminess worked well with the spicer gravy & I love shrimp any way it comes. And the hush puppies were so yummy (again a "new" food for me)!

We used to love Cafe Zydeco when downtown and in its westside location but our recent experience had spice-less "cajun" food, disappearing servers, and left us wondering what happened to the old recipes and cooks. The hushpuppies are still addicting.
Oh my goodness. Shrimp and Grits, Catfish, Fried Everything. Will definitely be coming here again.
In the parking lot where Centennial park/Paws Park is located. Parking is easy. Ordering was fast and easy. The bowls are delicious. We'd absolutely come here again. Delicious for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

The dogs can be off leash, all one level, no hills to climb, there is a stick library at the entrance for the dogs, the creek runs year round and there are some nice places to sit along the creek.

I didn't expect to be so impressed! This has the feel of an Old World cathedral! There was music piped in that because of the speaker placement and the acoustics of the cathedral itself, made it sound like you were overhearing a rehearsal.
