I finally got a chance to sit down at UNIDO and I’m so glad I did. They recently implemented a new rule where laptop/folks working have to sit at the bar which is amazing because I can actually enjoy my food and drink at a table! I truly think this is one of the best improvements they have made. The breakfast wrap was SO delicious. There is a crispy rice or crispness that was so so good. And the hot sauce is AMAZING! It was very busy so I had to wait a bit to order but the staff was friendly. They ran out of vanilla syrup so I substituted rosemary for my latte and it turned out to be delicious. It’s a great vibe inside if you can grab a seat. Can’t wait to come back!
I had the coffee only - giving 4 stars to the food solely based on how it looked of other people eating around. Latam coffee shop and great fast casual concept serving alcohol and wine as well as specially coffee. They seemed to have some vegan options but not much, the special of the week was a curry rice bowl with tofu option ($22) which I definitely would have gotten if I was hungry. I got both geisha pour overs which was cool that they had. One was $10 the other was $12. A 4oz bag of beans for the $12 one was $35 (~6 cups brew at home). So it was a bit pricey. It was good quality but not necessarily the flavor profile I like the most. They roast at the dolcezza factory in NE which is cool! Overall really cool concept, fast casual, something for everyone including baked goods, food, drinks, etc. Casual clean and modern setting, and friendly staff.
The food is very good! Mexican with almost fine dining finesse! I read someone was COMPLAINING that the burger taste like McDonald’s.. um I’m pretty sure that was the point.. except it’s amazing quality.. i mean they make their own ketchup … it’s taste like nostalgia and if Ronald McDonald’s dream came true. Coffee is top notch and it seems that people are trying to keep it a secret for their own working spots lol.. great place! The breakfast sandwich is my favorite but everything has been awesome!
A friend lives in the building and I'm always walking past, so I decided to stop in. I'm so happy I did! Sarah was so patient with me as I was ordering. She exemplified the cream of the crop in customer service and will be the reason I come back. The Jasmine green tea is another reason, too. . .
Café Unido is a little gem in Shaw. The coffee is amazing and the homemade syrups are to die for. All of their food options are packed with great flavors. There hasn’t been anything we haven’t liked from the menu. It’s a great place to come and disconnect from the internet have a great cup of coffee with a nice meal and conversations with friends.
Very chill atmosphere and great food. What I got was around $20 and tasted great. While eating I was also able to connect to the wifi and get some work done! Will come again
I live in the area and used to come here a lot. The baristas are all great and the coffee is pretty good. However I’ve been disappointed with the changes management has made lately. You can only sit on the counter if you want to use a laptop, even on a weekday when most of the tables are empty. I totally understand the policy on the weekends but doesn’t make sense on a random Tuesday. The owner also decides to change hours without any advance notice to customers. I was kicked out early just because they decided to close early. Not the greatest experience as a customer unfortunately
