Cafe Rue Orleans is a cozy spot with many Cajun classics. They offer a good selection of fried foods and you can tell there is a lot of care applied in their cooking. I ordered a crab cake and the fried shrimp dinner with Mac and Cheese. Overall, the food was very enjoyable.

Every time I go here I step back into New Orleans, Southern Cajun done right. Eggplant Nepolean is a delicacy and a food coma.

LOVE love love the food here. One of my favorites in the area. We moved here about 6 months ago and have found it difficult to find good food that's appropriately priced. Cafe Rue Orleans fits the bill! The team is kind and attentive. I once waited a bit for my mimosa and they brought out an extra-large one as an apology. It's a casual spot, cozy and clean.

Located upstairs in an odd but interesting location, this cafe gives u old Orleans feels. There is limited seating , unisex bathrooms, and great service. Our waitress was attentive and had great suggestions. I ordered catfish and baked Mac and cheese. The Mac was very good. The cheese was higher end and it had flavor. The fish was cooked perfectly but needed a tad more seasoning. I also ordered beignets. The beignets are very large and fluffy, although ours were slightly over cooked. I also ordered a small bowl of chicken gumbo and it was rich and flavorful, although I was disappointed it was missing okra.

Feels and tastes like authentic Cajun food. The food is always incredible and is of high quality *consistently*. Service is great and generally you don't have to wait too long to get your food after ordering. It's a small, quaint place so plan ahead if you have a large party; generally they don't do reservations. Also, Sunday brunch can get busy (especially when college kids are in town) so just be prepared to wait a little bit for a table.

Delightful! Simply Cajun! I scarfed down my (kid) meals!! Vegetables first! Seasoned vegetables and Squash were OFF THE CHARTS! Definitely coming back! Beignets were a little crunchy, but I’ll be ordering them AGAIN as well. 5/5 Kids Catfish plate (side of mac & cheese) 6/5 (EXTRA BONUS POINT) Shrimp 🍤 and seasoned vegetables!!! I will be reordering this!!!!!!! Yum 🤤 Thanks Ali! Your service was superb!!!

Never knew this place existed. I’ve passed by for years and always thought it was an office building. Glad we stopped and got to try the Eggplant with Crawfish, Mac and Chicken Gumbo. Everything was very good and will be looking forward to the next visit. Wished we would had known sooner!

Good lord where to start.....Tues night 7...it was cold in the dinning area so we all kept our coats on. When the wine arrived the glasses were wet with drops of water. I ordered a shrimp and cream sauce over pasta. When it came out I noticed that the cream sauce was overdone and was basically nothing but oil. The dishes were all served at room temperature.....there were bits of onion peel in the dish and the pasta was unevenly cooked. I tried not to complain.....just left. My younger son who is in the kitchen biz was embarrassed because he recommended the place. I suppose everyone has a bad day but no I will not be returning.
