There has always been lots of hype behind Cafe Patachou and I’ve wanted to try it for a long time. I finally got to do so recently. We came in on a Wednesday at around 12:45 PM and they were a little busy but there was no wait for a table. Our waitress was SUPER friendly and attentive to us. The overall vibe inside is vibrant and cozy. I got “The Omelette You can’t refuse” which has bacon, potatoes, sour cream, and white cheddar along with a side of sourdough toast. This omelette was incredible! The bacon was crispy, the potatoes were good, and overall it was just fantastic! The sourdough was also super buttery and tasty. Overall, if you’re in Downtown Indianapolis looking for a great brunch spot, Cafe Patachou is the place to go! I’ll definitely be stopping here again soon.
Great spot. Enjoyed lunch here with a large group and they were awesome - worked with us and made it so smooth and food came out so fast and really good. Then came back for breakfast and really enjoyed it. They Turkey chili was great as was the salad. The ricotta scrambled eggs on toast was great. The cider donut was really good.
This was our first visit. There were six of us. We all ordered different menu items and everything was delicious. The photos are of the hippie omelette with cinnamon bread.. the kids with us ordered the waffle and fruit cup plate. They enjoyed pouring their own syrup from the little container. Our server was very friendly and efficient. We will definitely go again when we’re in the neighborhood.
There are perhaps 2 vegan breakfast options. I got the vegan omelet. For me, it missed the mark. It felt more like I was eating a salad than egg. I personally prefer flavor over health, so I would have liked a more robust, filling dish. It wasn't horrible, but I wouldn't get it again. The service, however, was quite good. The place was very crowded when we came around noon Thursday. No complaints from my non vegan friends about their food, though.
Food: My friend ordered Cuban dish and I order the one with fried egg and sausage with muffin. Both of our dishes were great. Although I didn't finish my sandwich but it was only because I ate before I came in. I tried my friend's plate and it was great. Not your usual American breakfast/brunch dish and it is worth to try. ***I took off another star because after brunch yesterday my stomach hurts the rest of the day and I just lay in bed all day til the next morning, can't have anything else afterwards Drink: the lavender mimosa tastes decent. I would expect a purple drink but it was your regular color clear/champagne color drink with lavender smell. It was interesting to try Service: the Asian/Chinese guy who served us was terrible. Our drink never came and I had to ask other servers twice to get it served. Clearly he forgot to put it in, yet he came out and saw the drink on our table and silently put it in the bill (I watched him), not saying a word or apologizing that he forgot. While he did check our table but the demeanor was so unfriendly and hostile. It made me wonder if it's because we are also Asians I love the ambience and the restaurant setting in this area of downtown Indy. You can walk around the area after the meal as well. Over all, it's worth to try this place but I hope u don't get this guy as your waiter
Wow, what can I say beyond that. The food is delicious, and the service is fast and courteous. Been here twice. I was looking forward to getting in for lunch again, when I was in Indianapolis a couple of weeks ago. Just as amazing as the first time. You guys are awesome!
1st timer and 10/10!!! I stayed a the Conrad Hotel and the front desk clerk recommended this place and i am glad she did!! It was very busy but there was a great system in place to what have seem to flowed nicely. Wait was about 25-30 minutes and it was well worth the wait. We chose to sit outside which was perfect. Taylor was our server and she was exceptional. As busy as it was she did very well multitasking and staying attentive to us. She gave GREAT recommendations and knew the menu well. I was curious about the “Cuban Breakfast” but allergic to pesto but her being knowledge of the menu she explained your version being is as it sounds and I couldn’t have been any happier that I went with it. I was a little thrown off about the rice bottom being not listed on the menu but it was still delicious! Ordered the “Croissant French toast” and it was delicious also. Overall 10/10 Highly Recommend and I’ll be back!!!
I am glad I tried the omelet (create your own) as it was delicious! The amount of food was more than I could handle as the dish provided for an arugula salad and 4 half pieces of toast. The waitress was very attentive and it was easy to conduct a business meeting with great ambiance.

The service was on point. Went with a group of 3 and had a take out order, too. Loved the Crab Cake Benedict. Egg could have been a bit runnier, but all of the other aspects of the dish were on point. The chicken fried steak was wonderful. It wa

Wow! We had a small gathering (about 30âpeople) for a retirement party. Reserved the private room, pre-ordered appetizers and the quantity they suggested was spot on. Our server Cassandra was efficient and friendly, remembering drinks for refills

Was very surprised to find it not busy for a Sunday evening. Was greeted as we entered the door, and seated promptly. Staff were wonderful, made suggestions, and answered all questions about menu. Ordered the Bison NY Strip, and it was great.
