We had the smothered pork chops, chicken wings, greens, candied yams, Mac n cheese, red beans and Fried green tomatoes and EVERYTHING was so good! Our server Shauna was so much fun and the strawberry margarita was pretty good too! I'm definitely going back and I'm from the south!!!😘

Long story short I tried on multi occasions to support mainly because they black own but their food is horrible. Taste of Black St.Louis food was nasty, I said it was packed so they was probably rushing so it’s ok. But to pay $24 for this food is sad. These containers are small. even the red velvet cake was dry and hard like it’s been sitting in the fridge..

I spent 66 dollars on grease today. I got two orders of collard green gumbo, shrimp and grits and fried tomatoes. The first pic is the gumbo from tonight (grease). The second pic was gumbo I ordered 3 months ago when I dinned in. Can you tell the difference? Won’t get me again. Stay blessed.

I was excited to try this place. It's been on my “must-try” list for a while. The restaurant is very lovely and clean. The staff that was there the night I went was AMAZING. My server, Alexus, made my hurricane to perfection. I appreciate a place with good customer service. Now, the food, I was not impressed. The chicken and mac & cheese was a little bland. The mac & cheese could use a better creamier cheese sauce with some smoked paprika. It was on the drier side. The chicken was not golden, seasoned well, and tasted like it was cooked in old oil. However, the greens were on POINT! So I was pleased about that. The voodoo fries were okay. I didn't try the egg rolls, but my friend said they were delicious. Overall, I may have just come on a bad kitchen night, and I am willing to give this place another shot in the future. But I won't be in a rush to go back.

Some of the best gumbo I've had in St. Louis. They add collard greens to it which actually works really really well. The Chicken Alfredo was also very tasty. We'll go back next time we're in the area, for sure.

Excellent Service by Sonya who really did a wonderful job. Personable with the guest and checked on the table timely. Great food. I had the Shrimp and grits which was exactly what I was expecting. I tried the smothered pork chops, fried catfish and rice and beans. The beans had excellent flavor. Fried catfish was crispy and the smothered pork chop had great flavor. Everyone loved the sides Mac and cheese, greens, yams.. Wife loved the Turkey leg.

I highly recommend everyone try this locally owned business. It's exactly what Florissant and the surrounding area needs. New Orleans feel, with a nice ambiance. When you go in, there is a tiny counter with a very pleasant employee that is attentive to your needs. We ordered take out on Saturday, September 30th around 5pm. Unfortunately, the dining room looked completely empty. However, right when I walked in; the employee greeted me and asked for my name for the order. She was very kind and was able to get my food quickly placed in a bag and hand it over without the boxes topping over and spilling. The food itself is a different story, at least it was for us. We ordered the shrimp po boy with a side of fries, rice and beans, and a crawfish boil. I assume this was just a bad night for cooking because my crawfish boil tasted like it was cooked at least 3 minutes too long. The corn on the cob was soft and had little to no flavor. The crawfish also tasted like it was in the water for too long. Again, there really wasn't any flavor on the crawfish boil, but the potatoes were good. The rice and beans were split in the takeout container with rice on bottom and red kidney beans on top. I love the red kidney beans, but the rice also tasted like it was seriously overcooked. There was no flavor on the rice and it tasted like the little seasoning it did have was an afterthought, as if it wasn't prepared together. My husband liked the shrimp po boy and the fries. Overall, we want this place to succeed. It's right across the street from Club Fitness in the same parking lot as McDonalds, ATM, and doctor office. There is plenty of parking. Take a stop by!

My grandma recommended this spot and it was amazing! Good vibes, sat down quickly, friendly service, and best of all the food was hitting the spot!!! Shrimp and grits and Mac n cheese was IT! and big portions for sure. I didn’t have the mimosas but I heard the mango one is good as well!
