Flat iron steak was great, stew was good and had big pieces of beef, mac and cheese was creamy and seasoned. Only complaint if anything is you dont get too full, but its nice to not feel overfilled when coming out of the restaurant. & leaves perfect room for dessert
Really no service except dropping off the order; you order at the counter and get your own water at a station inside. We sat outside, which was nice and quiet; indoors was much more lively. It was a great choice for both vegetarian and non. My friend had the quinoa chopped salad, and I had the Vietnamese baguette. Both were yummy. Great recommendation; would definitely go again!
The carrot cake was absolutely fantastic and would gladly go back and get it again. However, my latte was completely forgettable and wish to never experience that again. The soup bowl presentation does not work nor does it properly accommodate a latte.
Loved the ambiance and the excellent service. The food was good, but not great. I ordered the beef stroganoff and it wasn’t very creamy, kind of runny and not very flavorful. Overall, enjoyed dining there and would come back to try other dishes.
Service is lacking. I eat here often because the food is usually great. The quality of service has steadily declined. I've received the wrong order, I have received a partial order ( I ordered spinach and salmon, and I was brought only spinach). I recently took a group of 8 in to eat, we were never given silverware and when we asked for some AFTER the food was delivered it took 3 people to figure out where the silverware was, then they sat down to wrap all eight settings as our food got cold sitting in front of us. I always over tip, thinking service will get better . . . I'm still waiting. The atmosphere is good and food is normally great. They did remove some amazing dishes recently, so that was a bummer. Hopefully, they bring back the stroganoff, it was amazing! If you like salmon, it's almost always perfect!
My sister took our Mother & I to Cafe Bernardo for lunch one afternoon. It was my first time eating there. The place was busy but surprisingly there was no wait & what was more surprising is that we were able to get a table outside which was great because it was a beautiful afternoon that day. I'd have given 5 stars for the Atmosphere if the outside dining area wasn't directly facing the parking lot. The service was great for the most part. I say most part because our server was awesome but left prior to us. I've always felt whomever is serving you should do so until you're finished with your meal and we were only there for another 10 minutes if that. The food was very good and most of prices were reasonable. There were a few that were a little on the pricey side given it was lunch. However, that is merely a matter of opinion and I'm sure some would disagree. Overall Cafe Bernardo is a nice place to eat & the service as well as the food was very good.
Loved it! Great food, excellent service and an awesome vibe. Breakfast is the best! Trust me - go try it, you will be happy you did!
Everything was delicious. I was very impressed despite the menu being smaller than many other restaurants. I absolutely loved that they had a choice of a salad sampler. You can pick 2 or 3 choices; we picked the Thai noodle salad and watermelon salad. My boyfriend devoured three thai noodles. The watermelon salad was really light and refreshing, I really loved that basil as well. It left a lingering freshness in your mouth. My daughter ordered a pepperoni pizza (no mushroom) and fries. The pepperoni was melt in your mouth perfection. The pizza however is pretty thin making it a bit flimsy so it required two hands even though there slices weren't huge but the bread was so light and delicious. The fries were so fresh, crispy, and perfectly salted. My boyfriend ordered the grilled flat iron steak...he is a steak connoisseur and he said it was PERFECT. I don't even think they asked how he would like his steak, so that says a lot. All the vegetables that came with his plate were perfectly seasoned and complemented the stead very well. I ordered the stir fry noodles and I was very impressed. The chicken was juicy, tender, and flavorful. I loved the bell peppers and spice level. (I can always go spicier but this was perfect) The service was great. Our waitress was very pleasant and checked up on us just the right amount of times. She kept asking if I liked the wine (bc I wasn't drinking it because I was waiting for my meal) AND when they forgot and brought out our food, they forgot our fries but the waitress overheard and acknowledged and got our fries to us pretty quickly. This place was recommended to us and we loved it. We definitely plan to go back. It's a hidden gem (right behind Ruth Chris' Steakhouse) and elf recommended to others. The restrooms were clean, the atmosphere was really nice, and the restaurant set up was beautiful. There are outside and inside seating options and the choice of furniture for the restaurant gave a patio-like feel whether if you were inside or outside. Highly recommend!
