The breakfast was amazing. The ham was thick, the grits were ok, the eggs were good but the biscuit was perfection. It has been the best biscuit I’ve tried in town. The price is a bit more expensive than others around, but the quality is better than other restaurants around as well. The portions were good and hefty as well. I couldn’t finish my plate!
I ordered the chicken and waffles for breakfast. It was topped with scrambled eggs. The food was delicious. Those chicken tenders were the best I've had in a very long time. If I go back to NOLA. I will definitely return to this place. The service was good as well.
We got some dinner at the cafe at the square. We went there about an hour before close and it was just a very relaxed and peaceful meal. I got a grilled chicken sandwich, and it was amazing. And they gave you the biggest serving of fries I've ever seen. Very fresh, very crisp, very delicious. The staff are quick and polite, and the atmosphere is laid back. You'll probably spend about 10 to $15 per person here. I don't see that it would be an issue to take any kids with you here. This is a spot that you want to walk to I believe. Although I did see some cars pulling up on the street outside but I don't think those were parking spots. Overall great experience and if I had the chance I would come back.
I recently had breakfast at this charming cafe and overall, it was a delightful experience. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, creating a pleasant ambiance for a morning meal. The location was also ideal, conveniently situated in a great spot. One aspect that truly stood out was the delicious breakfast. However, one area where the cafe could improve is the attentiveness of the staff. While the service was not terrible, I did notice a slight lack of attentiveness from time to time. There were moments when it took longer than expected to receive assistance or have questions answered. Enhancing the staff's attentiveness and responsiveness would certainly elevate the overall dining experience. Nonetheless, I would still recommend this cafe to others. The wonderful atmosphere, great location, and delicious food make it a worthwhile visit. With a bit of improvement in the service aspect, this cafe has the potential to be an outstanding choice for breakfast or any other meal of the day.
Eggshells in the fried green tomato Benedict. Oatmeal tasted like cleaning products idk how you mess up oatmeal, it was unsweetened and extremely mushy, and it did not taste like oatmeal. Salad was ok but the dressing tasted funny. Forgot the two waters that they charged 8 bucks for. Overall an unpleasant family experience for 60 bucks.
Great portion of food we had a square burger with fries between us and we still left some fries. Oh and a glass of champagne haha each 😜🥂 Very clean and lovely atmosphere.
Nice quiet atmosphere for a Thursday dinner. Splurged for fried green tomatoes $9 and got Chicken Layfette $17. Chicken was perfectly cooked and large quantity of food, great deal for the cost. Staff was great.
I ordered a Fried Green Tomato BLT for pick-up. Total with $2.00 tip was $18.43. ki received a sandwich with literally one piece of bacon on it. Not one piece of bacon on each side of the sandwich even ...but one piece of bacon on the entire sandwich. $18.00 for 2 pieces of bread, a few spinach leaves, two overly thick slices of fried green tomatoes, and ONE PIECE of bacon. Never again.
