The atmosphere was great. Lovely view of the water. The temperature was a bit warm in the dining room, for my taste however. There also needs to be a bit more direction provided to locate the establishment. My Google maps said I arrived while I was standing outside on railroad tracks 🤣. With a bit of roaming and asking, I was able to locate it. The food was good but we received ours room temperature, which one doesn't expect when eating in. I can only guess they needed additional servers. All of the staff members were polite and cheerful but our server did not check on us frequently enough nor, provide requests timely. The 3-stars for Service are due to the pleasant experience with hostesses and the owner during the visit, otherwise Service would have received 1-star for our server alone. I would return to Cafe 44 hoping the concerns reported were simply due to having a busy day and not enough staff.
Enjoyed a delicious Sunday brunch with the best view of the water! Nice fall décor inside now that the season has changed. The Brunch Burger with the brown sugar & peppercorn bacon was amazing! Will definitely return in the future.
Our server Sara was amazing. So pleasant and attentive. The Cajun shrimp pasta was really good. The bread pudding was amazing!!! 10/10...atmosphere just makes makesnthe whole experience even better. Highly recommend.
Wonderful experience. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely food. The homemade biscuit and gravy or honey butter absolutely must be tried. I'd order that as a meal next time! The homemade key lime pie was to die for. Majority of the group didn't care for the potato side, one of them saying the potatoes were not cooked through, so I took off a star. Otherwise, the food got a round of thumbs up. The price was fair for the view and dining experience - good for a vacation brunch just once, but not somewhere to go for frugal eating.
We’re in foodie heaven here in Alexandria while visiting - trying to choose where to go in very difficult. We went to Jula’s, formerly cafe 44, run by a Disney trained chef. We were disappointed, and quite surprised that we were disappointed. The view was okay, cause it was nice to see the Potomac river again… we could see D.C. and Maryland. The thunderstorm was fun to watch as well. The drinks were amazing. The Halibut and gnocchi was pretty dry. Like the gnocchi was bone dry. Over-seared as was the fish. We were very embarrassed. The lobster bisque was really really good.
Took my wife here to celebrate her birthday with some friends. Had a reservation for 12, but we weren't seated until 1210, which really isn't a huge deal in and of itself. Now the bad part - Our server was mentally checked out. I don't know if he was just having a bad day or didn't like us or what, but it took 2 hours and 45 mins to order our food/drinks and receive them. We waited for 30 mins to get water refills. It was 20 mins from the time we placed our desert orders until they arrived. Every single table around us had turned over at least once (3 high tops turned over twice during our time there, so I feel certain it wasn't an issue with the kitchen). It was as if the waiter simply didn't care that we were there. The good part - The view is incredible. The atmosphere is lively and fun. The food is fantastic. The prices are very reasonable given the quality/location. - highly recommend the shrimp and grits Despite our overall experience with the service side, I will definitely be coming back here because I feel like we didn't get their best in terms of wait staff. I will amend the review at that time in the event the service is better, which I am sure it will be as I witnessed too many others receiving prompt and courteous service.
Went after lunch about 3:30, so only food options was the cocktail menu (they reopen for dinner after 5). I ended up getting garden Flatbread witch was really tasty. Service was great, and the drinks (old fashioned) were good.
Jula’s on the Potomac is the perfect place to enjoy your meal and overlook the waterfront. We had an anniversary dinner here and the service was great and the food came out fast! I recommend trying the creole shrimp linguine.

Great food! They specialize in beef and bison, so probably not your place if you donât want red meat. Our service was prompt, and we enjoyed the burgers that we got. There was plenty of seating when we came on a Friday night without a reservation.
Party of 4 dining in. Staff poured our water before seating us. The atmosphere and ambience was very nice. Bathroom was clean. We ordered pizzas: The Spring, Margheritaville and Vodka Pie. Everything was delicious and made to order. I loved the asp
This place has great atmosphere, a fun place to watch games and meet friends for drinks and dinner. There is quite an assortment of dinner entree options so it's easy to find something that appeals to you. I did not sit at the bar, but it looked well

The lively and never disappointing farmers market in the King St Square on Saturdays is the oldest farmers market in the United States. #facts A few blocks away down the cobblestone streets is the waterfront that overlooks the Potomac and gives view
Been here plenty of times! Itâs great if you want to see ducks, turtles, etc. The park is so beautiful and itâs a good way to explore nature! I usually come here with my family during the summer when we do our early morning walks.

Definitely one of my favorite nature centers in the area just because the staff is so knowledgeable and clearly excited to be there. We visited for "meet and greet" and got to pet a turtle. The facility is spacious and they even have a small kids cor
