I have been on this earth 34 years and this is the BEST Mac and cheese I have ever tasted! Every single thing I ate here was amazing and if I could give this place 10 stars I would. Our waitress Kedra was so friendly and awesome! I can’t wait to come back!

The front walk-in needs more attention. The restaurant needs a makeover. They need another host due to her speed at service. My last visit wasn't what I expected and was quite embarrassing from her. Now that I have stated my negatives, here are my positives. The atmosphere gives you the feeling of having lunch/dinner with family. All the waiters were very pleasant and hard at work serving customers. Also helping one another with service. I have heard such good comments from my co worker's. I have only visited twice, and that's enough for me right now. The food was very delicious and I was full the rest of the day. I feel the chef must cook with love. I felt satisfied after eating. I do recommend the food to others as awesome. Come down and check it out for yourself. Peace, Love, Good Food

This was my first time eating here, and let me tell you, it didn't disappoint. The food was awesome hot, and our order was to us in a timely manner. I will definitely go back there!!!

This was our first time trying Cafe 209, and we will be back often. They had the best cornbread dressing! I got a vegetable plate and everything I ate was delicious. My husband had the Philly Cheese Steak and said it's one of the best he's had in the area. Our server was great, and our food came out quickly.

I had a great lunch. I got the country fried steak with broccoli casserole and cornbread stuffing. My girlfriend got the fried chicken with lima beans and fried okra. The food was great and we had an all around good experience.

Tried this place for the first time. I had oxtails, cabbage, fried okra, collard greens, mac & cheese. The collards were a little too salty but everything else was on point good to go. I will go back to try some other items.

I have been coming to Cafe 209 since my late teens, and I am 40 now. This was my first time to the present location and I am so glad that I finally did! The food was just great as it always has been. Those first bites brought me back to my teens and early 20s living downtown. I even took a pic of my food, sent to my dad and he was there the next day eating and thanking me for it!

I came in and I was not greeted with a good welcome, that is okay. However, I sat in the establishment never acknowledged me as I sat in the booth. After 10 minutes of waiting and never getting a cup of water, I left. I was walked by at least on two occasions. I don't complain about little things. Just acknowledge me and I will be patient.
