Great place to do camping year around. The Yurts are aging and it shows. Some of the roll up windows cannot be put in place as they do not have the strings attached anymore. However, what a place! Great view and great people. There are plenty of rest areas in the campground - both temporary and structured. There is a store with most supplies and also a small cafe for eating, but why buy when you can bbq? I had no luck with fishing from the shore - tried for almost 3 h, no bites. Most likely you'll be lucky if you take a boat and go towards the middle.
It's a dog friendly big recreation area! We went biking there with my dog, and there are many outdoor activities like camping, hiking, boating and fishing. There are nice RV campgrounds and cabins, too! But avoid the weekends and holidays if you can, too crowded.
Came to check the lake for our next camping trip! Very clean, organized, and ample spaces. Great for one day picnic too!
This is pretty much self serve. Went camping. Rented a spot and pitched a tent. Brought everything up with us. There are restrooms and showers available. Showers take quarters but it’s not expensive. The view is amazing when you go see the water from the edge.
Not at all what we expected. You can't go swimming in the lake. It's dry as hell. There is a market and items are priced at 100%. $27 for a 12 pack of beer. I would compare camping here to camping at park in the valley. The only nice things were the night sky and the moon setting on the lake. I would not recommend camping here unless you have no business doing actual real camping. Good for families with small children who aren't actually trying to camp.
Beautiful and peaceful getaway ^_^ Humans aren't allowed to swim in the water, but boats and fishing are okay :D
The lake is large. It is used as a water source for the Santa Barbara area so no contact is allowed with the water—no swimming, wading, touching at all. There is fishing and a large campground for both tents and RV’s and yurts available. There is a $10 entry fee. The website states they charge an additional $3 for a dog but they didn’t charge that fee.|My main review is of the marina. First—the pricing and type of boats info on the website in inaccurate. We were quoted $140 for the pontoon boat instead of the $120 listed on the website. The young man at the rental counter was very rude, had absolutely no idea of customer service. When we mentioned the price on the website he said they had no website (that’s true to a point as the marina is a concessionaire at the park but they should be providing accurate info to the Santa Barbara Co. Parks website). We rented the small 10 person pontoon boat but when we went out to get it they said that was already out but they found one more old one to give us. It was very basic with aluminum seats (no padding, not even in the captain’s seat). The steering didn’t work well which they acknowledged when we returned. The boats do not have life jackets on board so if you want one you have to pick it up at the office ahead of time. Boating laws require life jackets to be on the boat.|The only good thing I can say about the marina is that Michael, the young man on the dock was very nice and helpful. |
Cachuma is a beautiful place, especially with the lake being full. Camping, biking, boating, disc golf, fishing, and hiking are just some of the activities. Not forgetting the museum. Experience it!

The best F45 I've been to. Class was packed with almost 50 members. All the coaches, specifically Coach Katrina, found time to motivate and challenge me through one of the best workouts I've had in months.
Excellent newer pizza place in town. Loved the quality of the food. The lemon mushroom pizza was our favorite, closely followed my the margharita. The hawaiian was OK, definitely check out the prior two. Value for the pizza was not too bad, about

My Husband and I just moved to Santa Barbara from the East Coast. We are big fans of Caje coffee and this spot has a wonderful coffee mocktail program in the morning. We went here shortly after arriving and fell in love with their âLSDâ cocktail
A nice little coffee shop in downtown Santa Barbara! We stopped in to get a snack and ended up sitting down in the courtyard outside to enjoy the yummy coffee and sunshine. They share the space with other local restaurants/cafes, so there were plenty
