Extremely hard to find! A small downstairs entry without proper sign, just a tiny brown flag that says "CH". It's best to navigate to and ask directly at the Anvil Hotel, which are responsible. Parking is difficult in the area, we had luck on the other side of the block. Quiet enough to sleep, despite large capacity. Clean and comfortable bunks, double is big enough for 2 persons. Every bunk comes with small drawer beneath the bed and one locker in hall. Bathrooms were always clean but are severely lacking in space to put your stuff. Coffee is available for purchase upstairs. Staff was very friendly and tried their best, but was not well trained or informed. The manager needs to step up!
This was my first time staying in a hostel and this place was exactly what we needed. The communal living aspect was certainly unique and not for everyone but everything was clean, functional and comfortable. Showers were plentiful and had great water pressure and privacy. Plenty of towels and simple toiletries were provided. The beds were really comfortable and my husband and I had plenty of room to sleep and relax. The bunks do get hot at night but the little fan provided helps with airflow and once you open the curtain you feel the A/C in the rest of the place. The location is also fantastic! Easily walkable to downtown Jackson and 15 minutes away from Grand Teton National Park (our reason for visiting). We definitely recommend for budget travelers looking to explore Jackson.
If you just need a clean place to stay at , this is it. If you don't mind the shared space (private bed/enclosure) , then you're set. Beds are big, bathrooms are plenty and clean! There are toilet stalls and shower stalls on both sides of the alley. Each shower stall has a sink and toilet also. The enclosures are big enough. The whole bed fills the " room" from wall to wall. However, it's just central AC and it gets hot with the curtains closed. The small fan is pretty useless; very weak.
You get what you pay for and if you look around Jackson, Cache House seems like a great value, unfortunately, it ended up being too good to be true. This is a micro-hotel or hostel, but most of the offered amenities didn't work during our stay. For example the faucets and soap dispensers in the bathroom. Only paper towels were available to wash your hands or face. Someone took the bunk that we were assigned, when I talked to the front desk about this problem they weren't surprised. Fortunately they were able to move us to a different bunk without problem, but they didn't seem like they cared that someone took our bed. We paid extra for a top bunk, but I don't know why someone would do that when you can just pick whatever you want. Oh and the front desk doesn't open til 7 am, and it's important to hangout so you can checkout, so if you're trying to stay in a super cheap, bed-only hotel for the convenience of getting to Yellowstone early, you'll be disappointed. Oh and the nearest overnight parking is an extremely tight, free public parking garage; it's 0.4 miles away. On the bright side, the bed was clean (but the shared rest room was disgusting), the interior design was nice, and it felt safe.
If you are looking for a budget-friendly stay in Jackson, this is it! My friend and I stayed for a week, and it provided all of the amenities we needed. No frills, but safe and comfortable. My recommendation is to bring a fan, or use the one provided, because the bunks can get stuffy!
As a single traveler this place was safe, convenient, and cost effective. The beds are clean, and the private bathrooms were nice. The only suggestion I would have is to bring a little portable fan to place in your bunk. It got a little stuffy. For single travelers this is a safe haven! I will 100% stay here again.
This was a great economical solution for a place to stay before starting the Teton Crest Trail. I felt welcomed, safe, and everyone guests and staff were very nice. It was a bit warm in there for my liking but other than that I had a great stay. They even got my coffee to go in the morning!
i recommend coming here! comfy beds, very clean, and super close to downtown area, you can walk everywhere. pay attention that there is no parking for hostel guests!!! there is a hotel adjacent and the parking is only for them. also, there is no overnight street parking in the hostel area!!
A MUST for ALL ages!!! Man this place is soo cool, quaint, and NOT cheesy touristy at ALL!!! We're from Florida and travel a lot and have seen all aspects of tourist places for families or singles and this is a keeper and you'll wanna go back!!
Bottom line - A must-visit and I will definitely be coming back again! Food - absolutely loved the 3 dishes I had! (1) Spanish salad - perfect blend of arugula with light sweet & citrusy vinaigrette, flavorful cheesy manchego (on the slightly more fl
