This is a very nice park. A wonderful selection of activities for all. The personnel are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We visited the nature building and learned much about the various creatures which habitat the area. Then we headed out to the trails for an invigorating day hike. I highly recommend you looking into the many entertaining possibilities Cacapon State Park has to offer.
And my boyfriend love coming here we did the first day hike! It was so refreshing might be a new tradition!!!🎉❤️ Valerie and Allen are the best!!!
Took my 5 year old to a mud art program, and it was so lovely! She had a great time, and the naturalists and volunteers were so nice and helpful. Everyone on staff was kind and friendly to the kids. It's a refreshing change to be able to find easy, free, not crowded fun for kids. Perfect for young kids! Playgrounds looked nice and extensive, so we are going to go back tomorrow to check that out, too! 10/10 recommend
An excellent nature and history education center with plenty for kids and adults to enjoy. Friendly staff teach classes and help visitors find their way around. Clean restroom. Plenty of parking. Shaded picnic tables and a playground nearby.
The park is great for family time. They have so much to do they have you can go swimming do paddle boats kayaks fishing camping horseback riding beautiful kids play ground. Pavilions to rent for parties . we rented a pavilion for a big graduation party this is just such a gorgeous place
Awesome site. Clean. Lots for kids to do. Beach area to swim and kayaking. Did a 5k trail as well with the kids.
Enjoyable center. Many displays explaining the local terrain and wildlife. Staff is most pleasant and knowledgeable.
Seriously SO MUCH COOL STUFF!! We went to the nature center on Friday for a guided nature experience and we had such a great time learning about Monarch Butterflies and the local species of birds, plants and trees. The playground is huge and has a great variety of equipment options that are entertaining for any and all age groups as well as a wheelchair accessible swing option. There just weren't enough hours in the day for us to get to go through the whole park and enjoy everything. We will certainly be returning to this beautiful, family friendly and clean park.
