More like 4.5 starts out of 5. A friend of mine tagged this restaurant in an IG story and the food looked delicious. We stopped midday on a Saturday, we were greeted right away and picked our table. We ordered the #3 Lemongrass Chicken with Chicken rice. It came out fairly quickly with a soup broth and basil, onion, tomatoes and cucumber on the side. The lemongrass chicken was absolutely amazing. It was tender and juicy and cooked perfectly. The dipping sauce with spicy peppers was a great addition. I thought it was a very generous serving of chicken and rice. Service was friendly/ fast and I think their prices are reasonable. We will definitely visit again!
Best lemongrass chicken I’ve ever tried. Been coming here since 2017 when I attended SJSU right down the street. A friend introduced me to their lemongrass chicken and no other place compares. Food is always fresh and the owner has always been friendly and attentive. A favorite spot in San Jose!
This is a place for locals. They need some better service and to clean up the site a bit. The exterior is so beat down you’d think it’s closed. The food was actually good but overpriced for what you get. Host / owner wasn’t very friendly but wasn’t rude either. Didn’t seem happy to have a new customer. He recommended the grilled chicken, rice and soup. The dark sauce was very tasty. The soup was flavorless. The mini salad didn’t look very good quality so I didn’t even bother. Tea was very good. Best food hands down. Chicken was so moist ! Rice was heavenly, veggies crisp and seasoned. Affordable and good portions, this is going to be a place I go to go to often

The soup tasted funny and the portion for the rice chicken (com ga) was really small, even for me being a small woman. For $13 per dish we expected a bit more or better.

Very delicious vegetarian dry noodle bowl. It is a must try even if you are not vegetarian. It comes with a broth of either chicken or veggie. The salad is like no other salad you have tried before it is simple but extreamly flavorful. There a a chicken pho place with option of vegetarian soups. The first photo is a recent picture broth not in photo. They use to go bowls so you just have to ask for the tops if you have left overs. The second picture is prepandemic. Super yummy.

The best banh cuon one can find. It's thin, flavorful with great texture. The shrimp and yam fritters are crunchy and very tasty. Cha, pork roll, is good and the sweet garlicky fish sauce combined all together into a great meal.
