I hadn't heard anything about this place until a coworker told me. I went to the Cafe the next day, and the first impression was negative because parking was very difficult. There's hardly a space to park.
Inside, the atmosphere was stiff and hot. There are ladies in the back probably sweating like crazy while cooking. Service was okay, and food didn't take long at all to get. They take cash and credit as long as it's not a Master Card.
Upon consuming the food, they gave an insanely small little cup of tartar sauce, which was good, but did not compensate for all 6 shrimp. I was just lucky to have my own dipping sauce at home. The meal came with two sides and two plain breads. You can choose between fries or rice & gravy. The salad automatically comes with it. I asked what type of dressing it came with, and the woman said ranch. There were no other main selections such as Caesar, Italian, Thousand Island, etc. I thought that was just a little lazy as if they weren't even putting effort into a decent side salad. While I typically like ranch, they already had the dressing all over the salad, which I did not like because I went home to get a little cup of thousand island for my mother's plate, only to find out the salad was already ruined. Plus, it wasn't much of a salad. All that was on it was chopped tomatoes. Fries were very plain, not seasoned, and didn't really taste good. Rice and Gravy was OK, nothing special about it, but it tasted dry with not enough gravy. The 6 shrimp kind of crumbled and fell apart as I ate along the way.
Overall, the place could use some work in their menu, but the service was okay.
We had the pleasure of trying this restaurant over the weekend. As a Travel Agent looking for great food a gentleman suggested this location. It sits across from a historic landmarked statue called CC Antoine Park. WE TRIED STUFFED SHRIMP, FILLETS, AND FRYS

Whhhhhheeeeewwwwwwww my lunch was soooo delicious. I had smothered sirloin steak that was so tender I can cut it with a plastic spoon. Everything was seasoned to perfect. Will surely be going back for more.
Peanut butter cake was good. If you're looking for some southern authentic foods visit this place. Foods were delicious and fresh, but some improvement on parking space please!
This was my first time eating at C and C on yesterday, I had the smothered pork cops. They were simply AMAZING as well as plentiful. I certainly plan on patronizing C and C again in the very near future.👏👏👏
Food is good old stick to your ribs soul food. Smothered porks chops, rice and gravy, green beans, cabbage and cornbread for less than $8. And the coconut pie to die for. Everybody working were friendly and fun.

Brunch at Windrush is a real treat. You have to try their chicken and waffles! The mimosas are good as well. The bar has been expanded with multiple TVs showing sports or Chive TV. The atmosphere is great for a nice meal out.

Love this smallish yet very unique museum. The dioramas were astounding... absolutely mind-boggling the number of hours that went into creating them... and the talent! Other great world of art and a really interesting documentary in the auditorium.
What a charming place this is! My daughter and I arrived on a freezing cold night on a trip from Atlanta to Austin. When we woke up there was snow and ice everywhere. John made us a fabulous breakfast and all the coffee we could want. We knew if we n
