By the Way Motel - Motel in Lake Bluff - 123 Skokie Hwy, USA

I wish I had known about this motel before I came to Skokie. It was more affordable. Yes the rooms were old, but they were clean and all I need is a place to sleep at night.

I thought I was safe booking this motel for a week after reading the reviews. Unfortunately, this was not the case. After seeing the room upon arrival I told staff I did not want to stay due to the odor of smoke being so strong. The walls were covered with tar. The room was too small to navigate around the bed. Then I was offered a larger, non-smoking room for $77 more. Regretfully, I accepted and woke up after the first night covered in bed bug bites. I showed them my bites and told them I would not be staying, and was offered a partial refund of $200. So, in the end, I paid $177 for one night and very visible bed bug bites on my arms, neck, and face.

I stayed here labor weekend 2018 and all the places we went to were either sold out or either raised there prices even for a motel like this place. But they did not it was 75 a night for the weekend and 65 for one bed the staff are foreign but they are super nice. They don’t provide tooth bush or toothpaste so make sure bring ur own. But there is a target very close to them so that was very convenient to get anything we needed. Also the frozen food we go we had to heat up in the office the room did not have microwave but it did have nice size fridge and freezer bigger than most HOTELS.

Staff was super polite. Room was nice size and very clean. Came with mini fridge with freezer, nice flat screen wall mounted, good cable selection.

Motel overpriced (room smells bad, furniture and design from 70th). Check out time at 10 am. Person on service window didn't explain any "rules ", didn't give password for WiFi. Need to drive 2-3mi ahead to reach couple hotels and motel.

Nice clean hotel nice staff good price close to attractions but far enough away for quiet nice big lot of you have kids no worry to have them playing in road

Cheaper and much better than any other cheap room in the area for that particular price of $50
