By the Beach Rentals - Resort hotel in Clearwater - 621 Bay Esplanade, USA

My adult daughter and I stayed here last week for 5 days. I cannot say enough good things about this place and the owners. Such wonderful people and very responsive. It has that old Florida feel that we love. Many people are return guests and for longer stays. I can see why. It's a couple of blocks to the beach, clean, quiet, dolphins swimming in the bay, fishing right from the dock and the units are nicely furnished with all you need to make a snack/meal or for leftovers. Many restaurants/bars in easy walking distance. Jolley trolley stop is one block away. Oh, and the beds... sooooo comfortable. Can't wait to come back!

Wow! Staying at By the Beach Rentals was perfect! From the stunning views to the cozy accommodations, every moment was pure bliss. The location couldn't be more perfect for a beach getaway, and the amenities provided made our stay even more enjoyable. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring that we had everything we needed for an unforgettable vacation. I can't wait to come back and experience this slice of paradise again! Highly recommend to anyone looking for the perfect beach retreat.

We had a wonderful week. The apartment is clean with a nice pool and it is very quiet. The hosts are so kind and answer promptly to our requests. The location is at walking distance (3 minutes) from the amazing Clearwater beach with its gorgeous sunset. Also there are tennis and pickleball courses at the street corner where you can play for free. Many restaurants, pubs, bars, aquatic activities are at walking distance. Finally you can even go to the grocery store by walk or with the Jolley Trolly. I highly recommend this place because it’s calm but close to many activities then you can enjoy your vacation and take drinks without any problem because you don’t have to drive!

Pros: Great Location, Old Florida Charm, Not a Big Box /cookie cutter Hotel. ||Cons: Pictures can be misleading as some units need more work than others. Bathtub re-glazing, Window in Shower re-frosting, beds are in need of replacement. ||Did encounter an issue on-site where we ended up cutting our stay short by 1/2. But owners refunded 1/2 the upfront rate paid.

Phenomenal spot where you’re 2 blocks from the beach or downtown Clearwater yet at your own private retreat on the water. The pool is great and heated and fishing can be done from shore. We rented a golf cart which made access to almost anything super easy. Ashlee and staff are super responsive and helped make our stay memorable!! We absolutely love By the Beach Rentals, formally known as the Ebb Tide. Being tired of the cookie cutter high rise hotels that surround everyone with rooms on top of rooms, finding By the Beach Rentals has been an actual gift! The wonderful feel of “Old Florida” beach living - with wonderful rooms, modern amenities, tranquil moments, and privacy, it doesn’t get much better than this. While in the heated pool I had the thought that Jimmy Buffett would most definitely have enjoyed this gem of a place… along with the dolphin, and sea turtle who leisurely passed by close enough to touch!|By the Beach Rentals, whether your stay is short or long term… priceless.|Laurie Frey
