Buttonwood Plaza - Shopping mall in Greenacres - 3074 Jog Rd, USA

First time in this plaza. I went to the Liquor Mart here. Wanted to get a little something for our movie date. I would definitely be making a trip out of my way to come back. They had a lot of drinks I have not seen before great prices. I even found a drink that I have been searching for a while now. I got my drink (which I left in the car for later) and he got his drink Bacardi.

The Buttonwood Plaza has many establishments I visited only two of them. When was the Great Wall which is a Chinese restaurant that received many a great reviews on this site. Regrettably, I don't happen to agree. I ordered the shrimp and garlic sauce to go. What I found was a large layer of rice on the bottom and very little vegetables on the top which included three shrimp which I did not find adequate. This dish was the most expensive one on the lunch menu and I would have thought they would have done a better job but it wasn't to my liking. The quantity of food was enormous and probably could have fed to people for lunch but I'm not after quantity I would rather have quality. Addressing the quality I found that it had too much oil for my taste. I read some reviews that said this was New York style and having lived in New York I'm not sure what part of New York their style is coming from. I certainly had better Chinese food in New York than this. I was very disappointed but that shouldn't stop you from going because it may be your taste and I am very picky. They have several tables to sit at if you want to eat in. While I was waiting for the Chinese food to be prepared I took a walk over to the Polo Chef Bakery and kitchen. Found this establishment to be clean and welcoming with some very decent looking food and I can't wait to go back and try it but regrettably I had already ordered something. The bakery had some very nice looking pastry from quince to Tarts to palmaritas to guava and cheese. They also had some breakfast items some sandwiches jamon and queso excetera, hot Subs beef cutlets chicken cutlets Argentinian sausage sandwich chivito, and cold Subs prosciutto and cheese ham and cheese salami and cheese. They also have your empanadas and they have pizzas and Salads. I found all their prices to be reasonable and I can't wait to go back.

The take out Chinese place is awesome and there is a CiCi's here. Pretty good plaza for food

1/9/23 - visited CiCi's Pizza. Food was okay. Establishment could use a bit more cleaning in the dining room.

Salad bar is always fresh, pizza stays in good rotation, staff is attentive to the buffet/serving area. Clean. Friendly. Cheap!

Pizza was what we paid for. Sauce tasted more like tomato sauce out of the can. Did not seem to have other pizza spices. Decent crust. Looked at the soups but was turned off by the dry film floating on top. Fountain drinks had a hint of taste of what it was labeled as. Like I said we got what we paid for.
