Buttermilk Falls - Park in Long Lake - , USA

This is not a high waterfall, but is beautiful nonetheless, and is easy to get to. The water was still rushing when we went in late August, due to the volume of summer rain this year. There is a small parking area and parking available along the side of the road, and an easy walk to the falls. Picnic table there, but lots of places where you can simply sit on the rocks and have a picnic as well. There is an outhouse at the site, but no formal bathrooms

Nice little spot to stop off. I was actually on Forked Lake and the road runs right past the Falls so I stopped by on the way back. It’s like 100 feet from the road versus coming from the other side of the river hiking in so can’t really talk about the hike in. Spots to relax with good shade.

Amazing spot to check out. A bit of a hike to get there but very manageable! The top, middle, and bottom of the falls are all very accessible and boast spectacular views

Buttermilk Falls on the Raquette River in Long Lake, NY is a beautiful place to chill out, picnic, or explore. There’s not much trail unless you adventure out on your own. It’s a beautiful ride getting there and a fun family experience. Good picnic areas.

The view and falls was spectacular! The hoards of black flies, not so much. Short hike, even shorter stay, but was cool to see and hear the power after all the rain the last few days.

Absolutely beautiful. Outhouses available, picnic tables and a fire pit.

Always like to stop by here when I’m in the area. Quick walk in from the road. Picnic tables if you want to have a bite. Waterfall is beautiful. Nice little spot.
