Butter Smith Kitchen & Pies - Family restaurant in El Paso - 7801 N Mesa St, USA

First off I would like to preface this by saying we’ve only eaten in the diner once and the review was alright, decent but this review is mainly for the pies, these things are ridiculous 1. I’m not going to lie to you these things are expensive for us poor people 2. It’s up to you to decide whether they are worth the price 3. These pies are an experience! I highly recommend everyone to try these things at least once, cause dang they certainly seem to have gotten the recipe locked down tight So far we’ve tried the New York cheesecake, key lime, and Caramel Pecan Silk Pies and they were all amazing but again a bit pricy for my taste but for sure each one did not disappoint These things are the peak of Pie perfection, you’ll definitely notice the difference in taste between this high grade savory goodness and your run of the mill Walmart pie, it’s like a regular steak vs an A5 Wagyu from Japan, there’s no comparison, so if you’re looking for an experience please get one for yourself and do not forget to savor the moment!!!

The menu could be better and the pie quality needs improvement. Breakfast was low end at that and the food had one taste and that was of burgers for some reason, pancakes were tasteless an kinda dry, Potatoes were still very hard, scrambled eggs tasted like a carton, refried beans had a super commercial taste and the pie was super cold an it fell apart when it heated up. Not a fan at all an not sure if I'll be going back not even for the pie ..

We ordered a bacon cheeseburger with fries and I got the turkey avocado & bacon with cheese sandwich with onion rings every was really good the onion rings were a like on the dry side but it's bagged stuff but still good. We left with a couple of pie slices chocolate pie and the pecan supreme pie it's very good. We will be back. Also our waitresses were very attentive. 👏👍🥧💜

Our Server Raul is incredible! Not only did he take care of us. A family of 4. But I observed him take care of tables 10 and 12. Never skipping a beat. I've been in the service industry for more than 20 years. And I have to say, I wish more servers were like him.

Extremely similar to village inn except they serve beer and wine so that’s a plus! It’s a great place to have breakfast with family and friends. It’s good for large groups. Or if you just wanna have some coffee and a slice of pie, this place is a good option. Although they do serve alcohol, this isn’t a place I would go to if I just wanted to drink a beer or two. I’d feel a little judged, haha. Other than that, their pies are delicious…just like village inn.

Very friendly and quick service--even for a busy evening. We wanted to check this place out since we had not been before. We had a very friendly, efficient waiter and the food came out very quickly. Overall, a great experience and we would definitely go back. A great place to go if you're in the mood for breakfast. Highly recommend the New Mexico steak and enchiladas plate!

Ahh, just ate this morning. Not a pleasant experience. Food looked appealing, tasted good but turned cold minutes after it arrived on the table. It didn’t help having the air on super cold. About 4 to 5 employees sanitizing and spraying the sanitizer around us instead of waiting. Or closing one area and having us sit in another. 👎🏼👎🏼 Customer service was good and won’t knock it.

Just the best. I love an old fashioned diner, and this is definitely that. Great selection of foods, especially breakfast. And the pies.... OH MY gosh. Chocolate Pecan silk pie is heaven.
