This is definitely one of my favorite parks. It's the Butler Longhorn Museum in League City and I've been coming here for about 20 years. It's got a pond put a small island in the middle with an outlet that leads to Clear Creek. It's got a jungle gym and playground for the kids and a beautiful garden on the side of the mansion. They do wedding receptions and events here they also have an art gallery on the third floor of the mansion. There's fishing and plenty of wildlife in the water as well as a ton of beautiful flowers and plants. There's a small grapefruit Orchard on the side as well as an outdoor kitchen and barbecue setup. This one is a must visit. It's great for the adults and the children alike. The park is always clean and well-kept there is plenty of parking and picnic areas with tables and benches. And you can't miss the beautiful view of the water. I highly recommend this are cats one of my personal favorites.
This museum is WONDERFUL!!!! Growing up in Galveston County, it was very neat to hear the history of League City, early settlers, the Chisolm Trail and to learn all about the Texas Longhorn and the Butler family! I highly recommend, we were there for two hours. I could have stayed for another hour easy, so many artifacts and history! Our tour guide was fabulous and he was so knowledgeable about the Longhorns and gave a great presentation throughout the tour!
An interesting museum on the historical significance and longevity plan of the purebred Longhorn, particularly with the Butler family. Museum employee provided in-depth information and answers to all inquiries. $12 Adult and $9 Child ticket prices (helps keep the museum going). Daughter requested we visit and she enjoyed all the displays and outside park grounds.
This is amazing and to know it is right here in my hometown is exciting! This is a must visit. So much history and the Italian museum just opened up across the pond.
Great longhorn stuff and cowboy pieces, if you park in there extra parking you are actually in heritage park. The park is nice, not super kid friendly or exciting in museum.
Super musée sur la race bovine Longhorn. Des guides enthousiastes et fort compétents. Trois étages d'exposition.
Such a beautiful place for not just Pre Prom picture's , but you can spend 2 hour's just looking and reading so much history. I will be taking my Mom soon as she is feeling ok to go. 💜💜💜💜
Wonderful tour and great information on Texas Longhorns. Alot to see so expect to spend a few hours inside, then check out the beautiful grounds outside. My favorite exhibit was the room with all the horns on the ceiling and I was able to identify the bulls from the steers and cows after what I learned. Definitely worth your time!
