10/10 recommend! Grateful there's warm restrooms and easy paved pathways & shallow steps descending down to the water. (No drones or dogs allowed). Plenty of parking and clearly marked signs (the close parking lot charges a fee & I believe the machine takes quarters/cash. Unsure of card usability. I believe there's a free lot a bit further back. Easy to find. Only a few people there upon a winter visit. (Visitor center closed in December). There were a few signs noting creatures, plants and moss to see if you're able to look closely. With God's beautiful handiwork on display, it felt like it was a dream, gentle mist lightly kissing your cheek, while sunshine peeked through the trees from the top of the cliff of the waterfall. Alongside this, you hear the roar of the waterfall rushing from the top down to the river below. Strong rushing waters flowing. Breathtaking.
Outstanding falls. It's a short 1.2 mile loop to see the falls. You can also do a 0.6 mile out and back from the falls. Totally worth it to hike. Except a few stairs, strollers can be taken on the trails. No dogs allowed on the trail.
Definitely recommended to do
Absolutely beautiful 😍 plenty of parking, park benches and tables. No dogs allowed on trail down to waterfalls though but I understand why, despite people still doing it anyways. Beautiful lake and camping.
Beautiful water falls. Easy access. If you are energize Go for an easy hike around. It’s easy one and very cool. $10 fee is worth it and help them keep the Park open.
The waterfall was roaring in January and hardly any visitors. Beautiful park to visit in January if you don't mind the cold.
Wonderful place! We came in for a day pass and decided to camp overnight on a whim. No regrets! The park rangers were so helpful, the campsite was clean and easy to access, and the views of the stars at night are absolutely gorgeous. They also discounted our overnight pass by the amount of the day pass, very accommodating! 10/10 will be coming back.
Great view from a path just off the parking lot. If you can walk down to the lower level it is a slightly different view and well worth the walk. There is a 1.2 mile walk also, it was closed due to ice when we were there.
Burney has been on my wife’s bucket lists for years and we finally made it. The trail loop is pretty easy and the falls are amazing. Also if you’re in to water falls McCloud falls are about 40 minutes down 89. Definitely worth the trip.
It’s a state park so you will need to pay for parking or use your state park pass.
Managed to check out yet another waterfall during our latest trip, and while Burney Falls wasn't my absolute favorite, it was extremely impressive up close, and has a fun little hiking loop to take if you wanted to.
Got there around 8:15AM, and I HI
I visited what is nowadays referred to as the "Stand By Me" Bridge on May/30/2021.
It is very easy to find, as google maps took me straight to my destination.
There is plenty of parking alongside the gravel and dirt road.
The bridge was fair, it is
