This review was for back in June. Just now getting around to reviewing. Fast service and short wait time for two even on a Friday evening. The food was so delicious and I've never had Burmese food before. Our waiter provided lots of information about his recommendations. Will be returning next time I'm in town.
One of the best burmese we ever had. We went there for dinner on a Saturday and was quickly seated. The servers were kind enough to suggest us and make vegetarian versions of the Bao and noodles. Bao were exceptional. And noodles were good as well. We would love to drive 40miles North to our place to eat here.
Literally one of the best meals I've ever had. We got two apps, two glasses of wine, and a family-sized entree to share, plus dessert, and it cost under $100. And the flavors??? Out of this world. Our waiter couldn't have been nicer. We would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant.
I usually don't give 5 stars on a first visit, but i couldn't find a reason not to. First, i didn't even know what Burmese food was, but it didn't matter, it tasted great. A bit crowded in a Wednesday night, we get seated within 30 minutes. I got the miso blackened Cod. This is only the second time I've had miso cooked fish, and both were amazing. Friends got the Reef and Turf (lobster and lamb chop) and Scallops. Guava cheesecake topped the evening. Our server was excellent, and we tried to convince him to take a break and share our cheesecake. He professionally and politely declined, but he was great. We will be back!!!!
We've been dining at "Burmatown" since they opened in the smaller space on Magnolia... Jenny, Jennifer and Mike are THE BOMB! with their food style and friendly service, as is their staff. They're "like family" because they all are :) ... well Jenny & Jennifer (mother/daughter = owners and chef mama)... Mike and his handsome son (manage). Anyway, I digress. My neighbors and I on Chanticleer Street in Larkspur frequent this fabulous dining establishment very often, because it's like home--BURMA STYLE. YUMMERS!! Always recommend the Tea Leaf Salad, Garlic Noodles, Bao Buns, Chicken Wings and Jenny's "Extra Special Sauce"!! You have to ask...and anything they suggest. We get there early (when they open!) to avoid the obvious wait. It's worth it!! ENJOY.
4/5. They’re doing a lot of things well, like the ambiance, staff, tea leaf salad, bao and chicken curry. However some of the other dishes don’t quite hit the mark because it’s too saucy and sweet ( 👀 green beans and noods)
I really can't say enough about Burmatown. It's evident from the moment you walk in just how much heart and soul Chef Jenny has poured into this establishment. Each plate was absolutely delicious, and the portions were excellent. What a gem for central Marin.
We had great experience at Burmatown. They have outside seating area in front of the restaurant with heaters. They have contact less menu (scan the barcode to see an online menu). All the food we ordered was very good. The service was also great. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. You can also call or order online for a curbside pickup, too.
I've always been an athlete, but this yoga class kicked my butt! Susan's class was fun, energizing and challenging. I'm new to yoga, but this hot power yoga class was unlike any others. Way better! Highly recommended!

For a large capacity restaurant, this one feels warm and welcoming. Menu options are plenty to satisfy most any craving. We stopped by for a mid-afternoon snack. Great service. We enjoyed our meal.
