I need something last minute so I had my wife pick a place for me because I had work. I didn’t get off until 1:30 so I was going to be checking in late but I based the judgement approval by looking at the hostel and location by skimming thru the photos my wife had shared to me. I was happy with it and went ahead with the reservation plans. I arrive around 2am and have all the instructions to check in late. I leave my bags on the shelves in the lobby and I head up to my room quietly. my room must have had a guest that had their belongings sprayed by a home of cats or the room itself must harbor cats somewhere because that smell is strong and I fear that it could potentially seep into my work clothes and I’d be smelling like something foul. I gotta get with the manager about possibly refunding the remaining unused days and let me find another option because I simply just can’t put up with this at this point. ( this is day 2 )
Overall a good stay. Great hospitality, although some tension could be felt from property manager partially due to running around between check-ins and room prep. There are long- term residents living here (seemingly 24/7) that are friendly but don't speak English. Smoking is for outdoors only, although the front door is frequently left open (needs a new latch). Location depends on your train for visit. Close to fashion district. Blackout curtains around bed for privacy as well as windows. Lights and outlets at each bed. Two full baths and 2 individual toilets with sinks in hallway. Toilets are frequently needing to be wiped down due to male urine stream. Cooking can be a bit crowded since the 4-5 long- term residents cook throughout the day. Dish drain is almost always overflowing. They provide towels, blankets, and ear plugs (goods since it can be somewhat loud with so many people there in the mornings or evenings), shampoo and body wash in showers. Quiet time after 10pm is generally respected. Good seating out front with umbrellas for shade. New deck going in out back. No laundry on site, but 1 min walk next door is $3 wash and 25 cent dry! Again, overall good place, especially since it was built in 1901 and has the original rope drawn windows, wood floors, and decorative carvings.
The dirtiest and most disgusting place you can imagine! I made a reservation for a female shared room and when I arrived at the hostel they lied saying there was a problem with my reservation and put me in another MALE room. When I asked Karina, who is the hostel employee, she mocked and said ironically that she had been confused, but that she could go to the women's room. When we arrived at the women's room, people were sleeping on the floor! I paid 150 dollars to be in that terrifying situation! At first the hostel didn't want to refund my money, but after the complaint made on booking I will be refunded. I left the hostel at midnight in a city like LA and it was very dangerous. the hostel is dangerous and the staff are irresponsible. It's definitely the worst place I've ever been to and I hope you don't believe the photos, because in person it's another reality! the bathrooms are dirty, the beds stink and the kitchen is filthy!
Do not stay if you are a young female. Unfortunately, Burlington Hostel did not live up to its promising online photos. The property suffers from poor maintenance, with damaged, dirty floors and a pervasive smell throughout making my stay quite unpleasant. Safety was also a huge concern. The room was overly warm with ineffective air conditioning, and the bathrooms were consistently dirty and smelled of urine. Despite its quiet location about 30 minutes from downtown, the area felt isolated and unsafe. Overall, this was not the welcoming, comfortable stay I had hoped for, and I cannot recommend this hostel, especially for first-time visitors to LA. Aaron the greeter is kind, beds were fine, towel provided, nice porch, bird scooters available at $15 in area to travel 20 minute to nearest light rail in downtown LA.
Sans être totalement insalubre, le logement est sale, tout particulièrement la cuisine qui grouille de cafards 🪳!!! La maison n’est pas entretenue et tout tombe en ruines.
Seules les chambres restent relativement propres.
This is place is noting like in the pics, its filthy and it smells awful. Absoultly disgusting place. Can't get hold of the manager, she doesn't bother at all about her guests. Definitely choose a different place. The kitchen, toilet and beds are soo dirty can't even step inside. Avoid this place at any costs. And they won't refund you any money as well, why taking the rest. -50* for sure. This is place need full refurbishment with also a new management and area isn't great too. And because there nasty bed i have got allergy assuming bed bucks. Disgusting
Decent amount of privacy. Downside is limited restrooms and trouble with check-in. Multiple fellow travels struggled with check-in as far as my knowledge goes
ROOMS ARE SMALLER THAN PICTURED AND THERE IS ONLY 2 BATHROOMS FOR 24 PEOPLE!!! Area is ghetto and staff took forever to get my bed number. Don’t waste your money!

I was amazed by the authentic Japanese cuisine at UKA, and being Japanese myself, I believe this restaurant truly captures the essence of our culinary heritage. The chefs' attention to detail brought out flavors that transcended mere appearance, leav

I can't speak more highly of this amazing establishment. My friends and I came hungry and were treated to some of the most authentic and delicious plant-based / cruelty-free dishes. I ordered a little assortment and each one became my favorite!

Valentina and Helen are absolutely wonderful trainers. They always go out of their way to help everybody out: always giving adjustments to improve posture and performance. I always book a session when one of them is there. They also play great music.
My time at this gym has been nothing short of exceptional! I recently hit my 1 year anniversary and am proud to be a member of CrossFit Echo Park. At first I was hesitant about joining CrossFit in general due to thinking it was just a bunch of rugged
