Very interesting and so much history! Must stop if you love learning about the underground railroad!
This tiny little museum is worth going out of your way for a visit. The story told by this house leaves a mark on your soul. I will come again when my kids are older so they can understand what a tragedy slavery truly was and see for themselves the hardships slaves had to endure.
I enjoyed the tour, even though it's a small house it has displays in each room and well done pre-recorded audio with some history and stories on slavery in the US. At the end you see a small cellar and the crawl space below the house where they hid people. No pictures allowed inside. Free on-site parking.
History at its finest. Highly recommend seeing this place. The beginning of the tour is a bit boring. But being able to go downstairs was neat. No photos allowed.
This was such an engaging tour and a fascinating place. They did a good job of providing context around the slave trade in Memphis. This was our 11 year old’s favorite out of several civil rights museums e visited on a road trip.
The Burkle Estate museum was an awesome experience! My heart and attention was captured from start to finish. Our tour guide was full of knowledge. learning how our ancestors were treated and the tour of the house (specifically the hidden underground door) made the story telling come alive. I walked away with a new appreciation for what our ancestors endured. Will definitely recommend this tour to anyone who has time while visiting Memphis.
Very knowledgeable. I would recommend this place before heading to the civil rights museum Every thing would be in order then civil rights museum

Iâve been wanting to go to Graceland since the 70âsâ¦. Donât know why! Maybe the charisma. Maybe the opulence. Maybe the music. Maybe the footwork. Maybe the car game. I now know itâs all that! At the mansion, the front living room, where El
My future wife and I visited on the wim of a discount voucher from our hotel, but i would pay full price for this tour/experience anytime. The Gentlemen here were very welcoming, informative, and gave great energy about the experience of "The Blues".
