Ok here goes.. So I wanted to try here for a long while. It was a bucket list of places to review. Having just finished a 5 mile hike with my wife we went here... Very hungry. It just opened for the day. Sam our waitress was super friendly kind and outstanding. Simply ordered 2 burgers and garlic parm fries but I can tell watching other roll in and order and sit and eat Sam was super attentive to all new and regular. But Sam and crew were awesome. I can tell they are appreciated. We will be back to try more food. The burgers and fries were very filling and afterwards me and my wife were full happy and ready for some rest... Thank you to Sam and the crew. You all are phenomenal
I ate at Burger Bar way back when it opened. I was in college not too far from the restaurant, and the food was always incredible. Definitely one of the best burgers I’ve had in Vermont, and it always kept me coming back for more. I just went into Burger Bar tonight after moving back to the area to have it again after 3 years, and I’m pretty disappointed. We ordered the special, barbecue ranch tater tots, and the cheese wasn’t even melted. Our server brought out our appetizers WITH our dinner so we didn’t even have time in between. I got the bacon cheddar burger, and it wasn’t very remarkable. It was an average burger, and not as juicy and flavorful as it once was. The garlic parm fries I ordered were unexpected as they weren’t seasoned, it was just fries with a slight drizzle of garlic butter and some shredded parm cheese. Overall none of the food was BAD, per se, but it did disappoint. It seems as a lot has changed after 2 or 3 years and it hasn’t changed for the positive. If I ever need a decent burger and I’m in the area I might come back, but I no longer consider this one of the best places for a burger in Vermont.
Ordered 6 wings and the bacon cheddar burger. Burger was average, the fries were soggy for sure. When they brought my wings the waitress said "are wings tonight are really tiny, so we gave you a few extra and if you wants a few more we can make it happen. Tasted good but by far the smallest wings I've ever seen. Customer service was fast and friendly for sure. Was kinda underwhelmed cause a lot of locals bragged out this place
According to Reddit this was a must have burger for me to review. As I make my way around Vermont eating burgers and looking for what the state has to offer, I find myself at the Burger Bar. Let me tell you the burger I had did not disappoint at all. It was well seasoned, and the bun was dune up right. The special sauce was lip smacking with the tangy pickles that was also used in the fried pickles. Overall, it was a positive experience. Having a quick bite on the road is my favorite. The Burger Bar totally pays off. I order chowder and Philadelphia wrap. Nothing I can say, everything is Superb! Marty is friendly and accommodating. Will be back soon.
Smallish restaurant with very good burger and fries. The service was very quick. Nice outside deck in nice weather.
If I could give this place zero stars I would, and I'm shocked writing this since reviews from other people say different. The garlic parm fries we couldn't even eat, because the garlic was so strong you couldn't even enjoy them. Then the first cheeseburger was alright since it was an easy order of just cheese and extra pickles, but unfortunately I had to add cheese and add pickles to it. Then the second cheeseburger didn't get any better since I had to add cheese to it as well, and remove the lettuce because it was brownish in color, and the 1 tiny tomato had to go since it was bite size, and the worse part of it all was the bottom bun was half bread and the other half was soggy bread so I had to replace their buns with my own bread. Someone was suppose to give me a call back but figured a week or so has gone by I'm probably not hearing back from anyone.
Ate here twice during our stay in Vermont service was quick and a very relaxing atmosphere. Fish and chips were very good, as well as the hamburgers and onion rings. We did overindulge with a couple milkshakes with our burgers.
Great place to visit, especially with your kids if they are into military vehicles. My son is obsessed with helicopters so it's fun to go see them in person. There are very friendly people inside the museum and so much history on display.
Great local restaurant and bar with good grub. Breakfast on weekends is always busy with large selection of home style menu options. The outdoor patio area is large with multiple different location to relax and enjoy live music. The burgers and wings
Staff is great, Jacob knows customer service, i am not the biggest fan of Starbucks but Jacob sealed the deal, its people like him who is behind the brand and makes a huge difference . Merry Christmas Jacob and everyone who was in the shop. They hand
We have dinner at Hoagie Hut often. Food is always hot and large portions. Family owned and always great service. We travel from a nearby town and well worth it.
