Today, the Bunk House Lodge continues to provide a safe place to stay for the LGBT community. We also provide a safe legal space for guests to enjoy marijuana use. We are hetero-friendly and welcome all guests 21 years of age and up. We offer private rooms, private lofts and a dorm room with bunks.
Talk about good vibes and community. Mitch the owner, is the absolute best host. The house is clean and super cozy. A two minute walk from the bus station that brings you anywhere you wanna go in town or county. It’s really nice to be part and community with people that you normally wouldn’t meet. I give this place 10 stars I would!
We had a wonderful stay at the Bunk House while hiking the Colorado Trail. The proprietor, Mitch, is extremely friendly and welcoming. The place had a cozy feel and the rooms were nice. The shower was a really nice walk in shower. Mitch served a continental breakfast in the morning with a nice selection of fruits, yogurt and cereals, as well as coffee. On top of it all, it's the cheapest lodging in Breck by a long shot. Highly recommend.
This is not a luxury hotel by any stretch of the imagination but it is warm, friendly, and unique. The main clientele during my stay were backpackers. An eclectic array continually pass through. There are individual rooms but even with that it has the hostel feel. Mitch is a one-man band so don’t expect him to cater to your every need. He is highly chatty when he is there but he is perpetually busy and not always on-site.
Never stayed in a place as cool and homey as this.
Staying with a group of good friends but having a feeling this place would have the same feeling of community and family with a bunch of strangers.
This is down to the amazing host Mitch!
Would recommend this place and will be coming back many times.
This was the coziest, most welcoming place I’ve ever stayed. The owner is a gem of a human being and creating a unique experience for his guests is clearly his passion. I’m grateful to have stumbled upon this residence in my travels and hope to be able to return someday.
The bunkhouse was the best part of my trip to Breckenridge. Me and a friend stayed there while on a skiing trip and it exceeded our expectations. Mitch was an excellent host and just a great person overall. I would recommend this to anyone who is vacationing in Breckenridge!
Bunkhouse Lodge has to be my favorite place I’ve ever stayed. If I could give above 5 stars, I would. My partner and I already can't wait to come back and stay there again. Mitch was the most amazing host and went above and beyond in every way possible to ensure all the guests were taken care of and had a wonderful stay. The place had so much character, coziness, history, and fun. It was magical! The private room was nice and spacious with great closet space for our belongings. We were able to see the private lofts, too, and would be more than happy to stay there next time as well as they were more private and spacious than we expected. The Lodge was clean, organized, stocked with everything you need, had a giant nice remodeled bathroom, included an incredible complimentary breakfast with delicious coffee, and was situated in a perfect location. It was right by/in Frisco, Keystone, and Breck, and it was only a quick 25-minute drive for us to ski A-Basin. Dog and 420 friendly and LGBTQ+-welcoming community. We can’t put into words what a great experience we had. The place had everything you’d ever need and staying there even just one night was the best part of our ski weekend (even though we LOVE skiing). We wish we could have stayed even longer, but are looking forward to visiting again as soon as possible and bringing our pup next time. (Mitch has three adorable friendly pups of his own). The price was more than fair, especially considering the ideal mountain location and everything this place had to offer. Great place for seeing various nearby mountain towns, hiking, skiing, and more. Words don't do justice to how cool this place was. Next time I come back I just want to spend hours hearing more about the history of this gem and spend more time taking in all of the details of the fun decorations. Loved meeting all of the other friendly, judgment-free, inclusive guests staying there as well.
All in all, Bunkhouse Lodge exceeded all expectations, thank you so much for being such a wonderful host, Mitch! You are one of a kind (in a good way). Nick and I will certainly be back again ASAP.
Bunk House Lodge is a fabulous getaway! Our group of 18 gay male long term friends and couples absolutely loved our stay, the accommodations and mostly the hospitality of the lodge’s kind host and owner! Highly recommended LGBTQ destination!
Our son absolutely loved the arcade here! Itâs one of the best indoor places to take kids in Breckenridge. Plus thereâs an ice cream shop in the front!
Absolutely loved the mines tour with Michael, heâs so full of fun knowledge and delivers the info so well!
Another shot out to Cory the operations manager of the monster truck sleigh rides. He gave my family a fun and great experience going the ext
Loved the salsas and rose pork. Wish there was more avocado and tomato, but Iâve never had tlayudas before. Very tasty! Also had a breakfast burrito (no pic) and it was bomb.
Craved a flavorful, tasty and fresh meal after wandering the town. I am lucky to have found Mount Golian Grill. This restaurant is clean, nicely decorated and cozy. The food was phenomenal and the service was great. I can only highly recommend it.
