Bull O' the Woods Saloon - Bar in Red River - 401 E Main St, USA

A trip to Red River isn't complete without a trip to the Bull. They always have "the game" on and are generally fast service. They serve some basic bar food and the restrooms are clean. We like hanging out around the firepit outside.

Tiana was an amazing server. You have to order the drinks at the bar and food at the separate register. The atmosphere was kid friendly. The food was ok. I ordered a combo appetizer, but there weren't any potstickers or Buffalo cauliflower, lots of cheesecurds, 6 jalapeño poppers, and maybe 10 zucchini fries. The dressing options for the wedge salad were Caesar, Blue cheese, or Ranch. Chicken Tender Basket is reminiscent of Dairy Queen. The bathrooms were very clean.

Awesome outside patio!! Typical bar food, nothing special. Definitely worth the patio. Very family friendly.

Great place to unwind after a day playing in Red River. Whether it be skiing, hiking, flyfishing with a local guide, jeeping, rock-climbing, or whatever the Bull is a good landing spot. Lots of local "color" in this saloon. Over 100 different beers, great music, and a beer garden where you can bring your fur babies and kiddos. Lots of legends have passed through the bat wing doors to this place. On the downside frequent staffing issues i.e., can't find enough people who want to work but that is not unusual these days.

I’m not sure what is going on in that kitchen, but this was hands down the worst food I’ve ever tasted…the greasy fries had no salt, the ground beef was completely unseasoned except for a weird old funky flavor, the burger was dry and overcooked with no flavor at all, the chips were stale, and the cheese dip was straight out of a van. There were four of us eating and all the food went straight to the trash after a couple of bites. I thought we would substitute it for their ham and Swiss sandwiches and was handed some dry bread with nothing but some cold ham and one slice of Swiss on each. Save your money y’all and find somewhere else to eat! The ‘food’ is a disgrace, they should be embarrassed!

the food was horrible. I got the nachos and the chips were stale and they just set American cheese over the chips. Someone else in my party got a burger and nachos and the beef was the most unseasoned thing I’ve ever tasted. So bad, in fact I had to return my food and get a ham and Swiss but that too was horrible and flavorless. Horrible. Wouldn’t come again.
