I went here for my birthday and Valentine's Day! It has a very nice atmosphere with good lighting. The waiter who served us here was very sweet and outgoing. He thoroughly helped me pick out a drink and the drink was delicious! I wish I could remember his name.... The food here is delicious too. I had the bone marrow and the lamb. The bone marrow was my favorite and the lamb was definitely a close second, with the pickled onions for the bone marrow dish being the tie breaker. Overall, great place to eat and I definitely recommend this place for a Valentine's Day dinner ❤

Dinner at the Bull and Wren was fabulous! We had 2 fish and chips, a pork chop and the salmon wellington. Everything was so flavorful. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. She also made some great suggestions. The other thing we appreciated was the privacy of the booths and the noise level was low considering there were quite a few people in the restaurant. Will definitely be going back.

We were visiting from out of town and grabbed a quick bite at this place! Lots of nooks and a great big bar. We loved the scotch eggs & Walleye. Both delicious. Service was great and they have happy hour Mon-Sat from 3-6 and all day Sunday!

The dry rub wings and avocado appetizers are great. The lamb, pork chops were great as well. My steak was very tender, but a little more done than the medium rare I ordered. The triple fried fries are a must. My wife enjoyed the sweet potatoes as well. The chocolate cake was good as well.

Great for a family dinner! The atmosphere of this place is a 10/10! Great beer and food as well. I really enjoyed the pork belly and mashed potatoes. The service was quick and friendly. My brother got the hot wings and let me tell you… don’t get the spiciest ones! Nobody could eat them 😂😂 it was a good laugh. Had a great time!

We rate this restaurant a two as we wouldn’t return. Not that the food was bad, more that the food was just alright and not worthy of a second visit. Three of us ordered the Seafood chowder, Corned beef cubano, Caesar salad and Chicken sandwich. For appetizers we ordered the Cheese curds and Scotch egg. The Cheese curds were very good, not greasy, light batter. The Scotch egg was alright. Nice presentation although the meat was over cooked and dry, we have had better. The Seafood chowder was thin, not much to it, flavor was ok. The Guinness soda bread was Awesome. Could have skipped the chowder and just had the bread. The Caesar salad had way to much dressing. The bread on the Corned beef cubano was so hard it hurt my mouth. The pickle in the sandwich made the inside of the sandwich soggy. The chicken sandwich was ok. Nice selection of beer although the beer could have been colder. All in all...average food. Nothing I would come back for.

This place has obviously replaced the Irish pub that was originally found on this main street corner in Excelsior... It's a very nice establishment that pulls you back in time to a well kept "old fashion" looking Irish Pub. You can't help but belly up to the horseshoe shaped bar with rich brown leather backed stools or a booth or even a table with comfortable leather chairs on one side and an actual couch on the other! My brother and his wife brought us here this last Sunday (8/7/22) for lunch. They had been there a few times already so figured we would enjoy the food. Our server was a delight and knew what he was talking about when it came to the food & drink of the place. The kids ordered from the kids menu; the typical: mac & cheese and chicken tenders. Us adults started our lunch out with some Scotch Eggs ($12.00). They were done perfectly. A nice browned outer crisp of panko bread crumbs, well seasoned pork sausage while the boiled eggs were soft on the inside as they should be (not overcooked). The mustard/mayo sauce added a fresh zing to the eggs. I had a cup of Guinness French Onion Soup ($4.00) with a slice of Treacle Soda Bread, a rather dark cakey quick bread that worked perfectly with the soup. I will say, my French Onion Soup was a bit on the salty side but the croutons, cheese & soda bread helped to mellow it out. My lunch was the Fish & Chips ($18.00). Flakey firm white fish well battered and deep fried. They were 2 large fillets that were obviously fresh since they weren't fishy tasting or needed any lemon wedges and served with house tarter sauce... I had to take at least half of it home! Even the "Chips" were yummy, nice thick cuts of potato deep fried and perfectly seasoned. Mom ordered a bowl of Seafood Chowder ($7.00) that came with Treacle Soda Bread, which she loved. Her bowl and plate were empty. She said there was a nice amount of seafood - as there should be - in her creamy chowder and the flavor was wonderful. The bread was a perfect compliment with her soup. She also then ordered dessert... Irish Whiskey Bread Pudding ($8.00)... Sorry, no photos. She loved it and scarfed it all down before I even thought about taking a photo of it! LOL! Anyway... My sister-in-law ordered the Nicoise Salad ($16.00), it looked amazing! It was also quite delicious...we all did kind of share. I think she barely used the vinaigrette dressing. It really wasn't needed the salad was so fresh, the lettuce crisp and the tuna perfectly seared. What a delightful filling salad. I honestly don't remember the sandwich ($17-$18.00) my brother ordered, he also got a side salad instead of chips (add $2.00). I did take a photo of it before he wolfed it all down, it did look really good. If I do remember I'll be sure to update this post. So, if you're on the fence on where to go, especially if the weather isn't all that great... Visit this wonderful Irish Gastro Pub. You will not be disappointed. Great food good service. We plan on coming back in the near future! Enjoy the photos...

Best Irish pub experience I've had in America. All our meals were excellent. My son had the lamb shank. I had the Shepherd's Pie. Good selection of draft beers. We are glad to have found this place on our holiday outing.

Lovely, lovely place to spend a day. Great beach, lots of shops, and the scenery is spectacular! (My grandson and I sat along the shore, not on the beach in these pictures.) These pics were taken on a quiet Wednesday afternoon.
