I love how shady this park is! it keeps everything from getting to hot to enjoy. theres two little playgrounds and two sets of swings. Theres a big grassy area and basketball courts. A small parking lot. it's never busy. Theres restrooms and shelter houses. A cute little bridge. theres art work too. its close to second street and the hospital but not too close that you worry about your kids getting close to the road. We enjoyed playing here.
My girls loved this park
Spend quite a bit of time here. Would be great if they could unlock the bathrooms again. Really sucks how people ruin that privilege for the rest of us!! Other than that its a nice place to take the kids or to just relax for a bit. Great basketball courts too.
We like this park quite a bit. All ways clean and well groomed.
It's just a nice quaint small park. Fully shaded unless you're in the large field attached. Not sure if that's considered the park, but I see people playing catch or soccer on occasion. It's nice and well kept.
Great park to go too. Makes you feel good.
Good clean park with bathrooms..shaded benches to sit on..basketball court...shelters ..water fountains to drink from..playground equipment is probably geared more towards smaller kids...my kids (7 and 10) were ready to go after about half an hour...but it was nice..I never even know this park existed until today and I work not far from it.
We used to love this park, but now I don't feel safe taking my kids there by myself anymore. There are always people sleeping on the picnic tables and camping out there. Just some questionable people there.

While it's part of the university campus, this lovely green space is open to everyone, and I see people here with their dogs or their kids all the time. The creek is good for a little birdwatching.
This park is absolutely wonderful. It's expansive, with so many different inclusive and sensory-friendly recreation areas. I love the skatepark and the splash pad. The stage with its free concerts is a total vibe. The dog park, in my opinion, is seco
Great for everything. Nice play grounds at different locations. Not at all crowded in the mornings of weekends. Shelters of different sizes can accommodate group of 30-50 ppl. No open grills though if you just want to chill and grill at the picnic be

There are 3 awesome playground sets on this property, so don't go straight to the splash pad and miss out on the other hidden gems. The forest/insect themed set is my favorite, but they're all fabulous. The forest themed set has low monkey bars that
Lovely little park. Well maintained, clean, and full of all the things the kids love. I particularly enjoy the little library and the "work station" with common hand tools next to the bathroom.
I am a big fan of Sherwood Oaks Park! I live nearby so it is a super convenient walking loop for me, but they also have great parking. I love that there is always activity in the park and I usually get to see wildlife on my walks too!
Lots of mature trees and rolling hills to play on. A wonderful large trees. The maples change to beautiful colors in the fall and drop their leaves in big piles. Some great climbing pine trees right by a picnic pavilion. Small parking lot and side st
Hidden little gem. This nature preserve hosts several bike trails from beginner on. Its a beautiful area teaming with nature and the crowd is very diverse, close to downtown and free, it's a great place to make new/ hookup with friends and spend an a
By far this has to be the most well thought out set up of any fields we've played at. Covered bleachers, every shady spot has a bench, there was a lot of shade to be had throughout. Only upgrade I'd suggest is supreme nachos instead of just bag o' ch
Train Fitness is a unique experience here in Bloomington. I love how I felt instantly comfortable when I started working out there. Part of this is due to the fact that the center is open 24 hours to accommodate a multitude of schedules and the other
I haven't managed to make it to Riverside Iowa for Captain Kirk's birthplace but I'm here in Bloomington and I got to visit this memorial to Captain Janeway's birthplace. Yes, the Star Trek: Voyager star was born (will be born?) on May 20, 2336.
