Everything about this place was amazing! The waitress was hands down one of the best that I've ever had in my whole life and I don't even know what her name is to praise her. She was so attentive and immediately scored major points by bringing a new soda before my old one was empty. That is a very huge W in my book when someone anticipates your needs before you ask. I loved that. The food was on point. We had the pretzels and the pizza puffs as appetizers and then each got the cheese steak. We didn't wait long for anything, the place is clean and nicely decorated. I wish I had stopped here sooner. I'm in the area about once a month visiting a friend and cannot wait to go back next week and try the French onion soup before I head home. If I could give the waitress 10☆ I would. Thank you, whoever you are. You rock!

Went to dinner one night I would say around 5pm. The waitress was great and gave us plenty of time to decide what we wanted. I ordered a dozen wings and my boyfriend ordered a cheeseburger. He was a little disappointed that they just have out of the bag chips and not house made chips and he said his burger was average. My wings were great, I ordered a dozen and got 15.. can’t complain about that. Our only issue was that the restaurant wasn’t busy at all I’d say maybe 3 tables were full out of both sides and we got seated in the back of the more bar room style side near the doors to storage room where constant employees would come out (got hit with a bag of fries on accident). The staff were great, it just wasn’t our vibe but it was nice to definitely check it out!

What a gem! We were in town visiting a friend at the hospital and his wife recommended this place to us. If we were local, I guarantee we would be regulars! I loved the laid back vibe and thought it was fantastic that the owner stopped by our table to see how everything was. Everything looked good but we finally narrowed it down to two things and agreed to switch plates halfway through - fish and chips and the buffalo chicken mac and cheese. Both were delicious and the portions were just right. Highly recommend!

Best place in town!! We had a very good experience here and would highly recommend to anyone in the area, it is a must try! The food was incredible, the drinks were incredible, also on top of all that we had a great conversation with the owner (Charlie) about how the place started and how him and his son rebuilt everything inside themselves, it is truly a masterpiece, very friendly waitress and all around good vibe! Will be back again of course!!!

This place is awesome. One night 10 minutes before they closed, they still let us in to order beer and a chicken bacon ranch pizza which was amazing. That was greatly appreciated considering we just got done doing some mowing in that area where we have contracts in Troy. Aside from that, me and my wife and our three young children stopped one time and had dinner and everything was very good, even the chocolate milk my kids ordered was great. Very good menu options and a nice polite and curtious staff that got us our drinks and food within a decent time frame. My kids even got the chance to sit at the open window and say hi to everyone that walked by and got almost every big rig to blow their horn for them. Again, just a great place to eat and drink. Menu has something for everyone on it, it's our first choice whenever we go to Troy for anything. You won't be disappointed with this place, once you try it, you'll be back for more...

Made a road trip from Northumberland County, PA to Troy, PA for the sole purpose of visiting Building No 9 Grille. It was well worth the trip, the food was excellent and the beer cold. We also purchased a few t-shirts and a pub glass. The best part; was getting to meet Charlie, who is an absolute gentleman! He made time to meet with my wife and I, giving us a brief history of the town and tavern. I asked Charlie, if he would get in a picture with me and did so without hesitation. Building No 9 Grille is a gem in downtown Troy and the team is fantastic. I look forward to my next visit. Keep up the great work! Thanks.

I realize that we're in an economic recession/depression and that the cost of everything has skyrocketed, but it was RIDICULOUS at this place. I do NOT understand how this place rates so high. Perhaps, it's because it's the only game in town and locals have just become desensitized to overpriced and banal food. First of all, they have the store front windows open - OPEN without screens - to let in flies, traffic noise, and vehicular exhaust. If it's an effort to reduce HVAC costs, then it's not worth it as I was harassed by flies throughout the "meal." Second......the table was covered in crumbs and the sticky floor has not seen a mop and cleanser in ages. The ladies' room has a sliding door that was left open which is absolutely not kosher. There was no toilet paper IN the ladies' room. Since none of the staff saw fit to close the sliding door that a patron left open, it stands to reason that none of the staff would check to see if bathroom supplies were up to speed. Next, the food was outrageously expensive. NONE of this food was sourced by local producers - it all came off of a truck and the quality was equal to the vendor. Ick. I ordered a grilled chicken salad and the spinach/artichoke dip starter. The starter ($9,00) came straight from a jar and was heated in a microwave. The "chips" were stale bottom-of-the-bag tri-colored tortilla chips with quite literally 1/2 portion missing from the platter on which it was served. It's like the prep cook just shoved their hand into the bottom of a bag and dropped whatever stuck to their fingers onto the platter. The grilled chicken salad ($12) was served in a HEATED bowl this tells me that the "chicken" bits were heated in the microwave, greens were thrown on top, and it was tossed in the same bowl that the chicken was microwaved in - I've worked as a server, a line cook, and a bartender in holes-in-the-walls AND 5-star establishments. The salad greens were obviously from a bag that was basically iceberg lettuce with a few leaves of romaine and spinach enough to define the product as a "mix." The chicken.........oh, my dear gawd..........the "chicken" was a frozen patty that had been diced and frozen by the processing plant before it was dropped into a bowl and microwaved. The meat was spongy, tasteless, and obviously processed. Just dreadful and how $12 can be justified for a SALAD is absolutely beyond me. For a dessert, I chose a limoncello cake ($5) that was ALSO off of a truck or from Sam's Club. It had ZERO flavor of limoncello and had absorbed the flavors of whatever else was stored in the cooler with it. ICK, ick, ick. My son ordered a cheeseburger ($9) that came with chips - potato chips, not the British definition of "chips" and a pickle spear. He ordered curly fries ($4) as a starter and they were served in a little side-salad bowl and typical for this thing - very meagre portion as a starter. For dessert, my son ordered a salted caramel brownie ($5) that measured 2.75 inches x 2.75 inches. It certainly wasn't homemade and, if it was, whomever made it should take up basket weaving instead of baking. My son also ordered a cup of coffee ($2.25) that had been sitting in the carafe since Easter. It was horrible and I fully expected his spoon to stand upright in the coffee mug. With a 15% tip, the whole bill for 2 people to eat lunch came to $58.81. That's over 1/2 of one-hundred dollars. Let that sink in. Listen, folks. This was Troy, PA which is surrounded by some of the most excellent sources of beef, chicken, pork, and produce in the State. Surely, it would be much more cost effective to buy locally to serve locals. Even lettuce could be sourced locally from the hydroponic supplier, nearby! This never ceases to amaze me about this region: WHY are restaurants still buying garbage and charging outrageous prices for garbage food? The processed stuff isn't even "food" and I will never return to Building 9 for any reason. The upside was that our waitress/server was pleasant.
