I went there to watch the fireworks on July 1st. It was a really good fireworks display. There were a lot of people but it wasn't overwhelming like it was a few years earlier. That year the cars were backed up from the pavilion all the way to Telegraph Road.
They have a lot of officers out directing traffic and it really helped move things along.
Was clean, beautiful scenery... had a great time with 70 friends and family
One of the picnic pavilions in Jefferson Barracks Park. Would be a great location for a family or small corporate event. The covered pavilion has many tables, BBQ grill, water fountain and near by restroom. Location is great because it's not on the main road but close enough that you have easy access to the paths, memorials , historical building/museums and sports fields.
Jefferson Barracks is one of the great parks along the Mississippi River .Scenic trails great on foot or bicycle. Also saw people fishing too
Great place to have a picnic or a barbecue and is very peaceful relaxing there and there is a good chance did you will see white-tailed deer while you were there it's a relaxing spot to take your acoustic guitar and set and strum on one of the picnic table
Solid picnic benches were under the shelter, while a surrounding wide, flat area was great for activities. Trees dotted the area to provide shade when it got too hot during games.
We loved going here. Lots of room and wild life . A very nice place for a family gathering.
