Budget Lodge Chesapeake - Motel in Chesapeake - 3009 S Military Hwy, USA

Cockroaches all over my room. Room 228. The maid I think washed the towels without soap because although they didn't smell, the towels were dirty and stained. Our beds were only sometimes made and the stove didn't work. Found trash from the previous people in the drawers and fridge. The only good thing was the price.(400 cash a wk)

They charge to much for you to share the room with thousands of roaches and have to pay 2$ for a bucket of ice when a bag of ice next door to them is only $1.47! To me the place needs the money they charge for an exterminator weekly or even daily!

Considering the prices of hotels in prime locations and of the famous chains this hotel rates as a “ budget “price for the night. Tax included it was less than others beginning pre- tax price. Before committing the CASH payment I insisted on inspecting the inside of the room #128 , ground level in the newer two floor units. The desk Klerk opened the room for me .It was clean , no dust bunnies and NO bugs. TV, wifi, fridge, microwave, h&c water, ac . No complaints. I slept well. Had I been travelling with a companion the klerk would have supplied more towels on request. Nearly all rooms were occupied by industrial workers, lots of pickup trucks and lots of Spanish spoken and I had interesting conversations with several of those my neighbours.

Not for kids. Not very clean. If you get a room in the one story brick park it was built in the 50s and never updated. Also you must pay for ice. 50 Cent each time.

I showed up 2:00 a.m. looking for a weekly rate in the guy that worked the front desk that look like he was in a '80s freaking bowling scene told me that they did not do weekly rates but on the weekdays

Convenient location, friendly service, good place for a quick overnight stay. Had a fridge and microwave but no coffee. Only had two towels for 3 guests. Could have been cleaner.

Cheap place to stay at, but you are getting what you pay for. Bathroom was horrible, not only was there water damage where the paint is coming off and mold on wall. Behind the toilet was scary. Burn marks all over tub. Floors were not sweeped properly. As i said you are getting what you pay for.

The owner of this roach coach is one of the most disrespectful people I have ever encountered. Not only was my company promised a lower rate that went up 5 dollars upon arrival, but we also were promised kitchenette rooms that were sold out indefinitely. The maid service at this motel was horrible. The rooms smell like sewage. Oh yeah, if you have never seen a drug transaction this is the perfect place to experience that. There was a huge blood stain (that was fresh) on my top sheet and it took this "amazing" motel until 2 a.m. to bring new sheets knowing that i have to be up early since a travelling job is the reason for staying in motels. All in all this is the worst motel i have ever had to stay in. Needless to say, my company found a MUCH better hotel to stay at in Virginia Beach on the oceanfront that is even 10 dollars cheaper a day. I would not wish this experience on my worst enemy. So please take my advice and completely overlook this place and act like it does not exist.
