Budget Inn Lafonda Motel - Motel in Liberal - 229 W Pancake Blvd, USA

Just stayed this past weekend. Non of the electrical outlets worked. There was no working heat. Both fire alarms were going off, and we were told just to take the batteries out. That is safe! We had to sleep in our winter jackets in an attempt to stay warm. We had been searching for several hundred miles to find a hotel with openings, to no avail. If we had, we would not have stayed here!!! If this wasn't bad enough, there was also a comforter that had brown, unwashed liquid. We had been driving until 1:00 a.m., with four kids. We were tired and desperate for a few hours sleep, which non of us got. Despite mentioning the issues to the front desk, we were not given a refund of any kind. We paid only $20.00 less than we did in a Holiday Inn Suite the weekend before.

We had to stretch out as had driven 800 miles that day. Wasn’t sure I dared to sleep in the bed. Sheets were too small and had stains although they smelled fresh. I used my own pillow as the pillow cases did not appear clean. Although the bed was comfy not sure it it was or we just had to stretch out. Holes and stains on the curtains. Shower/tub was not appealing, we chose to not shower. Appeared that the tile in shower had been painted and paint was coming off. The door to the room was very hard to open. Wondered if fire would we even be able to get out. I must have better standards as some as I’m surprised anyone would give this a more than poor rating.

Unfortunately stayed a week. Fridge wouldn't go cold so all our food spoiled. TV sound went up and down drastically. And shower would scald you and then go ice cold. Terrible stay. And they wouldn't turn the air on before we got there even though we requested it, so the first night was unbearably hot. And room tax some how ended up being like 27%

I needed a hotel for a reasonable weekly price and had stayed at other Budget Host hotels in the past. The owners are very nice, the hotel is in a convenient location and the bed is comfortable. It ends there. There is very little water pressure and the shower fixures are horrible. I had to call the office after my first shower because the hot water would not shut off. The owner forced the valve shut and now the meager hot water turns on when the valve is turned in either direction. The shower water valve leaks enough to allow the bath spigot to double as a foot wash. The owner told me he was going to fix it next week. Ah, yeah, right. The towels are as rough as a loofa. There are dirty hand marks on the doors and scuffs on the walls. The refrigerator freezes everything no matter how it's adjusted. The Internet is spotty and I had to reset the in-the-room modem several times.

Hubby and I stopped here for a night on a long road trip. We checked in pretty late on a super rainy night but the front desk operator was in good spirits and was helpful and friendly. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, linens in the bathroom were clean and adequate. My only gripes were the window heating/cooling unit was pretty noisy and the sheets didn't fit the bed. It was a king size bed and seemed like it had queen size sheets...they kept coming off at the corners and bunching up in the middle of the bed.

From the start it was a ripoff. I booked a room through booking.com who had a rate of 45 per night. I arrive at hotel to deal with a rude employee or owner who tells me in order to honor bookings price he wanted a 300 cash deposit I had been driving for the last 24 hours straight and was too tired to go find another room so I took the room first problem was shower didn't work I complained to booking the hotel charged me 60 for that stay and I feel booking owes me the difference and didn't have the balls to respond to my review I submitted I have already started booking through hotels .com because booking won't reply. I would not use this motel if it was free. The place was rude shower didn't work and they would not honor their obligation they committed too. I will also be dropping booking .com since they apparently don't care about their customers. Even though I'm at the highest level and have booked with them dozens of times in the last year. Save your money don't stay here and don't use booking. The property was booked and confirmed with a confirmation number so they are both to blame. The hotel clerk or owner and booking.com for not having the balls to contact me Bye bye booking you just lost a great customer will be deleting your AP along with all my co workers

The room was disgusting. There was hair on the sheets and pillows, the electrical sockets were hanging out of the wall and there was a large amount of blood stains on the chair and curtains. We immediately asked for a refund and went to super 8 instead. Much much better. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE.

Inexpensive,clean and better than expected. Our stay was short and we travel with our dog. Our options are few so this worked for us. The staff was very friendly. The room was clean, water was hot. No breakfast but it has a coffee maker. The tv has cable and it had a good heating system.|
