Budget Inn - Motel in Sparta - 279 Mayberry St, USA

Stayed there over a year ago manager and wife not trusting. My sister in-law referred to the place as the bed bug inn they blame others for it but it's them. While there I had to clean the room all they give you is a broom and dustpan and expect you to buy the toilet paper if there to long . The manager and wife goes in the room while guest are away snooping around you figure out the rest of the reason they use to go in while you're gone that is uncalled for. When there they cleaned out a room throwing everything away next thing you know everyone in the rooms down from it was covered in bedbugs and other bugs and spiders. They blame guest for their failures he charges so much that goes on the books for his boss then changing extra in cash and refuses to give a receipt for the cash he demands he's a snake and a thief owner needs to fire him and his wife. Problem with the buildings is they are old and made if wood the only way to get rid of the bugs is to destroy the buildings and replace them because the bugs are in the walls and everywhere else spraying is useless just like the manager. Ps I have video of the manager demanding cash and refusing to give a receipt there's a word for what he's doing embezzlement he's stealing from his boss charging the lower rate for the room that has a larger bed that cost more then demands the cash payment with no receipt to prove what is going again I have video of his actions and went to the business next to the motel watching them go in people's homes rooms when they are away. Very sad things going on there the place needs to be shut down buildings leveled.

Do not stop awful dirty etc I did not stay checked rooms got money back

If I could give 0 stars I would. The people in the office are ridiculous. We paid for 2weeks and the guy refused to give us a key to our room my fiancee and I had to call him to let us in our room when we got off work at night which was past midnight. Also none of the plugs in the room worked so we could not charge any of our devices. The floor in the bathroom was splitting and felt like you could fall through at any time. Plus on top of all that and us paying for 2weeks the guy still asked us for $70 in cash, mind you we had already paid $650 for 2 weeks. I will be calling corporate to complain about this place and the people in the office as well.

Would not recommend. Room smelled bad and had stains everywhere. Bathroom toilet and sink leaked. Tile was falling off shower and hair was everywhere on the shower walls. Bathroom door knob kept falling off and was only held on with electrical tape. I called and got a weekly rate of $350 but when we got there we only stayed 5 nights for $320. Never could get an answer on how much a room was a night. Nothing added up. Roaches all in the room. Not once in the 5 days did they come clean the room or offer us extra towels or toiletries. Was not happy but out of options on place to stay. We tried to check out early twice but would not get the difference back.

The rooms are very small however I was content for about a week till we got moved into a weekly room because apparently they only have 1 "Guest" room their words not mine. While in that weekly we experienced numerous plumbing issues as far as all drains backing up at once and the toilet overflowing other people's s#@t in our bathroom floor. We were moved into a way smaller room (2 hrs later) that I honestly don't see how it's even legal (meaning electric and plumbing wise) to occupy with patrons.

The owner will take good care to watch over things, but there are definitely cockroaches here. BE CAREFUL not to bring any home with you in your luggage and clothes. The place was falling apart and has been renovated over. They offer a weekly rate of $300/wk.

I went to bed perfectly fine but woke up about an hour later with lots of swollen,red, itchy bed bug bites! I left immediately! I paid $65 for a room I couldn't even stay in. I called the next morning and told them and they said "ok,thank you". They didnt even offer to reimburse me the $65

I stayed at this place and paid $55. I was so disgusted, no one deserves to experience this type of un-sanitation. There was mold and old stains everywhere: on the ceilings, walls, phone, lamp shades, etc. I posted the pictures of this place on Yelp and the owner had Yelp change the name of the place (on yelp) to Rainbow Motel, and even had the address changed, to Nashville instead of Sparta. Very dishonest. Yelp informed me that it was taking down my pictures! I was appalled. If you are stuck for a motel in Sparta in the middle of the night (like I was), do yourself a favor and AVOID THIS PLACE. The only positive thing I could say is that the sheets were clean (at least). When I asked the owner for blankets, she asked why I wanted them, then went in her laundry area, closed the door shut behind her, and took a LONG time to return. The blankets appeared clean, but smelled of mold. I had no choice. Then the door to my room would not shut properly, so all that protected me was a chain link lock on the door. I have a mind to report this owner to the authorities.
