Budget Inn - Motel in Mitchell - 1518 W Havens Ave, USA

This is the most disgusting property I have ever seen. Filthy, patched holes all over the walls and door... no heat, no towels, no light bulbs... door lock is busted up, refrigerator doesn't work. Mismatched, dirty sheets, bedspread has holes in it. $76 for this nightmare.

There complete garbage. There disrespectful and none there cameras work otherwise they would of called the cops for vandalism and then I knew my check out date and checked out and they called me and said you owe usfor2 days and I said no proble not. I checked out. So they called one my parents and pretty much stole money from my mom. My mom shouldn't of paid it. I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay there. There terrible and disrespectful

We got in about 11pm coming across country and just looking for a place to crash and shower up in the morning. The place is dated, but very clean and taken care of. The beds are firm, which we loved and the water pressure was great in the shower. Exactly what we were looking for and they have flat screen TVs, fridge, microwave and a nice little table to eat on. AC was cold. All in all great stay for the price!

We usually stay in chain motels, but on this particular night, there was nothing available within about 150 miles. We were exhausted from driving and found out the Budget Inn had one room left for the night. When you drive up, it is nothing fancy to look at and is old fashioned. The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly. Our room smelled a little closed up, but once we got the air conditioner going, the smell subsided. The hotel room was HUGE! It had two queen beds and one twin, a decent sized bathroom and a vanity outside of the bathroom. The shower was the best shower I had during our 9 day vacation...lots of pressure! The room was clean and adequate for a one night stay!

If you’re looking for a place to stay where you’re supporting a family owned business for a cheap rate look no further! Call before arrival with an ETA but they’ll take you in at almost all hours. If everywhere else is booked they do have clean beds, a microwave, three beds in a room, air conditioning-yes you’ll turn it on-it’s off and a decent cable package. They are helpful and they are also kind with an adorable small dog. Informative details: 1. There is no shampoo/conditioner-so if you want to wash your hair bring your own! 2. They do have soap-you get two bars so ones clearly for the sink & the others for showering. 3. There are spots with no lighting to get in (ours had no lights on the outside for the whole row so it was pitch black) bring a flashlight so you can see the doorknob & because it’ll feel safer with a flashlight (the one on your phone will do). 4. There are shady folks staying there (maybe living there) so proceed with caution-we came in late at night (nobody broke into our car but don’t leave valuables in sight). 5. Get all your stuff before going to the room. We locked ourselves out by going to our room first & locking our door then getting our stuff and coming back. We were unable to get back in with our key because of the security lock that only the main keys can open (we had to re-visit the front desk which we felt bad about because they live there). 6. If you come in late at night go to the SIDE door-yeah ring First if need be (we called ahead and gave our ETA) it’s a closet space with a double sided mirror-you’ll speak to someone through a space you can see through on a locked door (they always have the door locked no matter what time it is). 7. It is OLD like your grandmother might’ve stayed there when it was new & it hasn’t been updated since-keep that in mind. 8. Some outside window screens are broken and they won’t close but the inside part will slide shut. 9. Air conditioning is off-but it works so just turn it on-maybe your room has two air conditioner units-turn them both on they’ll work.

After spending many years as an employed hotel worker I am the first one to be grossed out in a motel and know that the cheaper they are the higher the chance of bugs...i did NOT get grossed out at this hotel!!! For the price it was good, the shower pressure could've been a tad stronger but it was quiet the owner was friendly and not crabby. If you're looking for a safe but budget friendly place in Mitchell this be it!

If you are looking for a clean room where the shower has good water pressure, this is the place. Older decor and no frills. Good location, just off interstate 90 with several eating and shopping options near by.

Very nice couple that owns the place. Got in late and they accepted us with no problem. Comfortable bed and a good shower. Also nice AC and a fridge as well. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a cheap night’s rest!
