If I could give zero stars, I would they charge for service animals and the place is disgusting. I do not recommend.
The Carpet was Filthy, motel did not have a laundry room.Three nights were $293, Budget Inn ?
This motel is by far the nicest or cleanest of motels. The rooms are decent in size with two full size beds, small end table between them. Two dressers, a small dinning table with two chairs, two low coffee tables pushed to the wall under the TV mounted on the wall, mini fridge with microwave on top and small coffee pot. The rooms have plenty of furniture. The cleanliness of the rooms should be rated as a 2. Do not walk in your pretty white socks on the carpet or walk barefoot!!!! Your feet will turn black. I'm sure these floors have never been steamed. It's very disgusting. The rooms aren't dusted well and the mirrors are dirty. The walls and doors look as if they have never been washed down either. I've stayed at this motel for months at a time and had to wash the rooms from top to bottom to feel at ease. Nightly rate is $75 which for the quality of the room is too high of a rate.
The owner is extremely invasive when it comes to personal space and a complete cheapskate! When checking out, as I walked past a room he was "cleaning" I saw him literally pull the sheets someone had slept on the night before, back into a neatly made bed... he did NOT change them! The floors in the rooms stained my socks BLACK and it all depends on his attitude that day what you will be charged. He charged me $80 a night but his wife always took $70. He says it's the "tax". Wouldn't recommend unless absolutely necessary.
Never had an issue last time i stayed. Me and my fiancé rented a room to stay for the day and my parents stay in the afternoon so we can get a break from the other loons in the house. This past time, when we left the manager went through the room and then tried to charge us 30$ for switching who is staying in the room, which he has never done before. The carpets are also fairly gross and a friend of mine said that they have had stuff stolen from their room after finding out he had been going through their room. Was staying there because it was closer to home but I will be making a bit longer of a drive now. It’s not worth your time.
Why the owner would need to knock on my door right before room service was about to clean, I have no idea. Could have just called the room instead. He would open the door when I’d be sleeping. Would have to quickly pull the covers over when I told him they didn’t need to come in. Done this several times..toilet was leaking, bed sheets were gross with cigarette holes in them..bad smoke smell..and told them no room service was needed b/c we didn’t want them just opening the door at any given time, but he’d open the door when I’d tell him that everything was good..creepy place.
To start off with, I had asked for a non-smoking room, I got it, but it was in between smoking rooms on either side of it, so I smelled smoke anyway. They wanted $54/night. Not worth $30/night. It's a hotel where you would bring a prostitute to. You know the ones. The clerk is behind a plexiglass window. It's out in the boonies. No attractions anywhere within 5 miles. It's billed as a 2 star hotel, I expect a free breakfast with that, no food to be available...within3 miles of the dump. The tub didn't drain as quick as the shower ran, so you had dirty water covering your feet when you are finished showering. One of the towels had stains on it. Plastic cup was cracked, so I lost what I was drinking before I could change cups. No coffee maker, no hair dryer, cable TV with "Snowy" channels. I did not feel safe here, but since I had used a "Travel" website , the room was paid for at time of booking, so I was stuck here. My son who is a Corrections Officer told me to cut my losses and find another place stay because of the local reputation of this motel. Everyday I took all my luggage with me because I did not feel safe leaving it there.
We booked this hotel without knowing the area. After spending our first night there. I realized the hotel is where local homeless people stay. I can't say I felt at risk, but I sure did make sure my door was locked every time. The first night we stayed we realized the TV worked great but the remote would not change the channels, and there were no buttons to change it as well. Then the next morning I went to make coffee with the coffee maker supplied and there were no supplies at all. Then I also discovered there was no blow dryer either. I won't return here again.
I lovvvve that Downtown Franklinton is reviving and MasonXMain is a perfect example of it! So cute and so cozy and the staff is so nice! The food was delicious! The atmosphere (given its Christmas time) was so wholesome and hallmark movie-ish! Iâll
