Great customer service. Don’t go by previous reviews. It’s a good spot for the weekend, across from the beach and nobody bothers you.
Very clean and very nice people they give us extra towels .
No! You pre pay if you leave something in the room they throw it out within minutes or steal it and deny it! The staff is rude. They’re clueless how to run a motel! And they expect you to clean it! No safety. They call guests “bad people “
This is my favorite little hotel just across the beach! These kind and dear people who run this hotel make a person feel like a part of the family. The lady of the house is quite lovely, she always gave me a clean, nicely appointed room with everything working. Having stayed in hotels in numerous countries and of many different price ranges, I find myself returning to Budget Express Inn in Daytona over and over. Thus far I have rented rooms from them over three seasons and a couple of years and have always enjoyed the clean, quiet atmosphere of their hotel.
The good: clean clean rooms other than one of the towels had a long black hair on it, the beds were soft. The area was very quiet and it felt safe. The bad: my fiancee and I arrived at 11pm and were told there is no late checkout. The woman at the front desk was very rude and rushed. I had my mom book the room (she is elderly and cannot see well) and when we had finished the woman stared blankly at her and said "What else do u need?" In a rude tone. The owner paces around at 10am to guarantee you do not stay a minute past 10am. The price was great and the rooms were surprisingly clean other than the room smelling damp and moldy. I'd stay again if I was in a pinch. No coffee or any type of breakfast. Idk if they had wifi because there is no room phone or way to contact anyone if they don't answer at the front. Also the woman asked my age and I'm not exactly sure why that was relevant?
The stay was ok. Sheets are stained, wash cloths was VERY VERY dingy. You pay for extra people but don't get enough towels and washcloth for everyone. The room smells like mildew, the first morning I wake up in the room I get a sore throat. The air conditioning filter doesn't seem like it gets changed like it should. It reeks of dust and mold. The price is too much to be on the 2nd row of A1. The outside is beautiful but more money should be invested on the rooms...like the linens and towels and toiletries. The location is great. A variety of stores close by. The older lady housekeeper was very sweet. Management should not belittle the workers while patrons are around. I felt embarrassed for her she was the only one I saw cleaning rooms she couldn't finish one thing without being told "hurry go do this now". Maybe there was a language issue but Respect is universal. BE NICE Owners should hire more housekeepers. 3 stars == bitter sweet
For the price. This is one of the better motels I've stayed at in Florida. The room had a modern feel to it and I felt like I paid more for it than I actually did! Maid was very nice and had a great 1 day stay I'll be back!!!
I'm moving to Daytona Beach and needed a quick but cheap place to stay and Budget Inn Express fitted what I needed. Is it for newlyweds? No! Great for guys? Yes fisherman prices ample parking for boats. Budget minded? Yes! ||||What I looked for are the following:||Price, single room with Good bed, fridge, microwave and good air conditioner. All were as good or better than Best Western, Super 8, Motel 6, Travel Lodge and Days Inn.||||Bring with you a coffee maker and hair dryer.||Price for single full size or queen with tax is $45.||Doubles with twin beds $59||||Across from Beach? Yes!||||Cable TV? Good grief too many channels to count and has HD.||||Wi-Fi? Yes With no problems at all which I had with all other motels.||||Clean? Yes Better than other Motels I've stayed at.||||If your wanting to move to the coast I suggest looking at Daytona Beach and Ormond Beach. Can you believe a one bedroom water front condo either Bay ranging from $725 a month to $1,000 a month for Ocean Side with 800 sq ft. On ocean side if you don't have a view of the water prices can be as low as $800 to $900 a month. The reason I mentioned $725 I just leased a one bedroom on the bay side in a condo the average age is probably 60 but the building is great and view is of the pool and bay. So no more loud music from the kids starting their cars. hahaha How about a 2 bedroom condo on the Atlantic side for $1,200 a month. Best time to start looking is March or April because they don't last long and be sure to check back at the end of each month because realtors won't let you know until they are available. But will admit they will hit you with too much to move in. I'm paying $2175 just to move in.||||Not sure if they take reservations but I'm guessing they do so if you can't find them on the internet call 1-386-258-6238 fax 1-386-8448
