Budget Inn - Motel in Burbank - 8450 S Cicero Ave, USA

Beware of the rubber strips that are laid out to cover the end of carpet and beginning of the tiled floor because I got up in the early morning hours and was walking quickly to get to the facilities when a screw, or nail, that was being used to cover the end of carpet and beginning of tiles wasn't screwed, (hammered?) in correctly and the head was sticking out of the strip on an angle. That screw or nail had caught my sock and I went flying onto the tile. I landed on my left hip and had a very hard time getting over to the bed to wake my daughter to help me to the bathroom and back to the bed. I ended up injured badly. Purpose of this post? When renting an motel room we automatically assume that it's in good repair and safe. Not so, to say the least, of this particular motel.

Stayed at Skylark the day before and it was overpriced and has roaches came here the next day and was completely surprised how different it was from the one down the street. Rooms were clean, bathroom clean, 80 Dollars overnight on a Sunday for two queen beds because I had small children with me... very spacious and I wish I had came here before I wasted money at Skylark. Outside might look a little janky but rooms looked the total opposite..

This place is awful. Everytime I go there they say their full. Lady there Chinese I think is the RUDEST lady I've ever encountered. Don't waste ur money. Rooms suck service sucks. If ur smart you'll go anywhere BUT here

The place has mold under the carpets no microwaves broken mirrors I bin to better motels n this place should be closed down tbh this area is too nice to have a place looking like that they just gaining money and not even spending it on their business how u have people come everyday and u still haven’t remodeled or added a new microwave this place need to be inspected there’s no lock on the doors anyone can just walk right in and kill you in your sleep

Me and my guy and our son been going there since Tuesday , the lady at the front desk always had an attitude but taking our money. Every time we would leave and come back it was always something with her. So I let my guy handle it because we needed a place to stay and it's the cheapest. And me and her wasn't getting along. My guy was more content with her taking her attitude in and telling me to just be quiet . First we called and they was lying about the price saying it was $80 but when we got there she said $60 to $65. I was on my cycle so while I was sleeping a little blood got on the bed the day before we walked for a sheet change and more towels because we stayed another day they only came to the room to give us towels we came back today and she stated because it was blood on the bed she can't rent us a room. Let me remind you we always clean up and have our trash in the bag so they won't have to do too much we clean up ourselves. The police came which they can't do anything but told us to file a complaint . The other day when it was raining so bad I have a 4 months old baby had to wait until 3pm to check in and then told us we couldn't wait there . Which is raining and had our baby we had to walk down to another room in the pouring rain with our child .another lady that be there stated that she doesn't like black woman and she had to let her child's father rent the room out for her . She only rents out to black guys she doesn't like like black woman

The company that one has at this motel is what I am giving 5 stars to. Otherwise, the rooms are very clean. However, while being very comfortable, the beds do not have decent sheets or blankets. There is not any fitted sheets or comforters, just a top decorative blanket. The last two visits, there was barely any toilet tissue, and both times, I was left scrambling for napkins in the middle of the night. They do not provide any spare rolls in the room. The fridges are always cold, and the TVs are big with clear picture and adequate volume. I thought they had microwaves, but seeing as I am not there to eat, it did not really matter. Coming from a person that's been staying at motels for over a year. Okay for the price the location the rooms and the service are excellent can't beat it. The staff is very nice and accountable.

I stayed last night checked out this morning. The room was $80. Witch was way to much givin their were ants all over the room, on tables, beds and sink. Found a crack pipe under the bed. And no hot water. But it was very quiet, nobody bothers you also good service from front desk. They just need pest control, and better cleanliness. If they fixed those 2 things this motel would be ideal!
