Budget Inn - Motel in Somers Point - 715 New Rd, USA

Imagine a beat up old car being held together with duct tape, zip ties, and wire coat hangers. The place is clean with budget friendly pricing. Be aware, The rooms are small. There is no smart TV, but there is cable. For Wi-Fi, you must sit outside; there is absolutely no signal in the room. You get one roll of toilet paper, so bring your own for longer stays. You only get enough towels for two people, so plan to bring your own for 3 or 4 people. The office is not open 24hrs as advertised, but the manager is often seen out and about and is friendly. In fact, the office is most always closed and locked. To be fair, the place is managed by a skeleton crew. Imagine the ever under staffed Dollar General. Also Be aware, There is no ice machine on the premises or a coffee machine in the room if that matters to you. Also, the alarm clocked seemed to be missing. Would I stay there again? Maybe.

Positive: I always enjoy my stay, starting with the warm greetings from hotel employee and Destiny through the clean, quiet, and safe atmosphere. Because the motel is just over the bridge to Ocean City, driving to and from the beach and boardwalk takes little time or effort. Negative: I still await morning coffee! Negative: ""

This hotel was much more then I expected. I just needed a place for a night and gave it a try. Very glad I did. Very very clean. Small refrigerator nice comfy bed and quiet. Everything in the room was updated and freshly painted. I highly recommend

Actually less than zero. The room was not acceptable by any measure. Was the first hotel I ever immediately left. The floors had not been vacuumed, the bathroom had not been cleaned. There were used razors and other old toiletries under the sink. There was some type of blue slimeike material in the carpet. I suspect it was gum but it was a lot to be just gum..The ceiling moved when the door was opened or closed and and it was plasterboard so it should not be moving. The door was not a tight seal either. The TV did not work. They did not have the legally required placard on the inside of the room door with emergency information and room rates. It was as though the owner had no concern for the law. If it was a $50/night hotel I would have expected this but they are more than 200.00 per night. I would not send my worst enemy there.

You are truly better off sleeping in your car! This place is the most disgusting place! My daughter arrived at 9;30pm so she checked in without checking out the room. She was the ONLY person checked into this hotel in June!!! After I arrived the next day we found another place and checked out! This place was filthy! Curtains hanging down off the rod, No fitted bottom sheet, bathroom toilet disgusting! Furniture broken! I called the Department of Community Affairs to file a report. I was told that it is possible this hotel is a "service" hotel where the homeless might be put up. It is not good enough for the homeless!!I also noticed they dropped their prices by $30 in the past couple of days.

My mother and I stayed here at the budget Inn for a week, John was very accommodating to our Needs , The housekeeper Barbara Couldn't have been nicer making sure we had plenty of extra towels. The room was very clean. We will be back next Summer .

I understand this wasn’t going to be a 5 star hotel. With that being said the place was dirty with bugs crawling and flying everywhere!! To put the icing on the cake it was blood soaked sheets and bedspreads and it’s a shame that this place is charging money to not even provide the basics. Oh and once a shower was ran the room started to smell of urine I hope they shut this place down. The health department must have skipped this place when it did inspections.

DO NOT STAY HERE. I knew that this was a run down motel — but this was beyond any filth I’ve seen before. And they had the audacity to charge me $228 a night! A friend and I drove 3 1/2 hours and booked a one-night stay (she had stayed here 2 years previously and never had an issue — new owners, apparently) just to turn around and drive 3 1/2 hours BACK HOME because the filth was so bad. The room had a rotten smell as soon as we walked in. We used disinfectant wipes to clean a table to at least put our stuff down, and the wipe was BLACK with dirt even after multiple passes with new wipes. There was old food and alcohol in the fridge, and the microwave smelled rancid when opened. The bathroom mirror had spit and toothpaste all over it, and there were old rolls of toilet paper and trash behind the toilet. The air conditioner had not been cleaned in what looked like months. The lights didn’t even work! Needless to say we left immediately and were refused a refund even after their booking stated “Enhanced Clean” on the Travelocity website. I am in the process of speaking to Travelocity Corporate and multiple Divisions of Public Health/Community Affairs in NJ in order to get my refund and also to get an inspector out to look at the motel. Long story short: DO NOT BOOK HERE.
