Budget Inn - Hotel in Lake Wales - 530 S Scenic Hwy, USA

I stayed here for a Little League State Tournament that I was an Umpire for. This location was perfect in that it was only about a mile from the ball park. I wasn’t sure what to expect since this chain is older and I’ve seen some in poor condition. This was the Diamond of the group. The room was completely refurbished in a very efficient and easy to maintain design. Everything was very clean and well kept. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful during my limited contact with him. As I said, an older building, but brought up to very good standards recently.

I’ve always been very skeptical about staying at a budget inn. For the most part 90% of them are junk. This one is a diamond in the rough. Nice place. The room was nice. Marble floors. New furniture and amenities. Ac was cold. Bed was soft. Shower was hot. The TV worked great. Can’t ask For much more. The owner was very pleasant and inviting and helpful. You can tell he put money into this place and takes pride. I would stay here again without a doubt.

My husband and his crew stayed here , I called ahead of time and the front desk had the rooms ready for them, very courteous and very nice and attentive .

This is a long review. If you look at my review rating you will see i am fair and honest. I just tried to stay here last night. I got room 211 and went hang out with family in the area. When I got back the bed furthest from the door had dirty sheets which I would later realize were tiny black bugs. I pulled back the sheets closest to the door and it appeared ok. I sat on the bed to watch TV for a bit before bed. When I moved the pillows I noticed that there were tiny black bugs about the size of fleas. When I went to the manager and put the key on the counter. He said it's impossible. I took him to the where he just stood and argued with me. He wouldn't even look at the beds. Much less touch the bedding to see if there were bugs or not. He said, "no refund, you have had the room longer than 2 hours." And walked away. I then drove almost 2 hours back to my house at 0130. Filing a dispute with capitol one over this nasty motel. I will definitely make sure the organizations I am part of also know about this. We do several large gatherings per year in Lake Wales. Stay away from this #$%% hole.

Excellent place to rest up for the night after a long day at Legoland, never felt unsafe or any worries, lake wales seems to be a very nice small town. This place allowed us to charge our vehicle, since there are no superchargers in the area this was nice! Rooms are beautifully remodel , no complaints!

Atul and his wife were very accommodating to us on our business trip. The room was comfortable and clean. Fridge, coffee machine, and microwave in the room. Cal King bed was very comfortable. We would stay here again.

Toom comfortable abd well maintained. Ac was quiet and worked well. Management was very friendly and helpful. Right off rr 60 and within 🚶‍♀️ g distance of Publix, restaurants and ew other places to rat. Perfect uf you are looking for a basic place to stay and not expecting a full service resort.

Room was nice but the bed had stains and the hotel desk clerk he was extremely rude. He yelled at my sister for trying to smoke a cigarette out by our car and then proceeded to yell at me as I check out saying I smoked in the room even though he seen us everytime we came out to smoke. Beating on the window to tell us not to go in as we were standing in the parking lot in front of the door. He then comes to room yelling about us having a party (we were not). Rooms look and smell fine but the mattresses are stained and smell inside the mattress cover.
