Convenient location, but that’s the only good thing about this hotel, I just stayed here and it was disgusting. The corners of the room were covered in filth and stains, and when I walked in at first I was also able to see a bed stain. No bedbugs, but I sure did see different types of bugs running across the floor and into the cracks of the walls. The way they have the electrical cords seat up is a fire hazard too, I have a picture of that and its the only outlet in the entire room. Other than a completely useless one on the ceiling for some reason I was able to take a picture of by the clothes hangers. Also wallpaper ripped, falling off the walls and ceiling as pictured in the bathroom ceiling, and writing on the bathroom wall. Oh yeah, and to top it off, the owner originally told me on the phone that my stay would cost only $45, but when I got there it was suddenly $70. He also rudely hung up on me twice when I was trying to book, and barely spoke English too. Not sure what the good reviews are all about because I did not have a good time here at all. I felt uncomfortable, unsafe, and wouldn’t stay here again. No idea how this hotel is getting a 3 star rating, I’ve been to way nicer places just as cheap. Stay here only if you literally have no where else to stay, room smelled nasty as well, very musty and like bad body odor.
Disregard my husband's review below! These people are not clean at all. The managers wife cleans the rooms and she must get paid by how fast she "cleans" them. They will not give you clean towels, sheets, or toilet paper unless they get a background check and references. Do not waste your money and avoid this establishment at all cost!!!
No complaints. Manager was very helpful in our situation and was more than accommodating. Always willing to help with any issues or concerns. Otherwise will leave you to your privacy. No issues with other guests and love how close it is to Steve-O's pizza - couldn't ask for a better food place next to a motel.
Place was disgusting, I had to clean the room myself, they put me in a pet room because I have a dog which is totally fine, the room smells like wet dog and cat. I didn’t complain because it was midnight when I checked in and the manager already had an attitude with me.
I stayed here a year ago for 2mths and now I am back.. No bugs or pests. Owner is polite and friendly 😊 I like the convenience of the location. Close to DG and the gas station~ close to work! It's quiet and not a lot of traffic.
It's nice you only get certain towels a week You will see shadows out in the front of the hotel at night the heat is amazing so is the air all around good other then the shadows and towels
An okay room good for a quick stopover. The price was lower than all the other places in the Altoona area and I didn't really need anything fancy. Very basic, no-frills rooms without any real amenities to speak of, besides a TV, microwave and fridge in the room. If your expectations are high, you might want to pick a different place to stay. Could have been a bit cleaner, but the bed and towels and shower stall were clean. Only real qualms was there was no top sheet on the bed just a questionable old comforter, and the Internet connection was pretty spotty. There seems to be several longer-term residents on the property, but it was completely quiet during my stay.
Not sure who is putting good reviews up here for this place, but the quality of this hotel is horrible. Moldy ceilings, moldy bathrooms, bed bug and flea filled rooms, crack pipes for sale behind the front desk. Immediately upon entering my room, I turned around and left. It was a hassle to get my refund back and the people running the place have not a clue what cleanliness is. Don't waste your time
