Budget Host - Motel in Iron Mountain - 1585 N Stephenson Ave, USA

My wife and I stayed overnight because the hotel that we were planning on staying at was booked up. Other than the hotel being a bit older, the room was nice and very clean. The owners were very welcoming and and we were able to check in late. The location is conveniently located just outside of downtown Iron Mountain, on the western end on Highway 2.

Me and my husband taking a Cost to cost trip. We are head to going home.we are taking a budget traveling. This budget host Inn very quits and very good motel much much better than other Inn. why pay more and bad service? We open to the window enjoy out looking. I know building is old. but price and room is clean.I am strongly recommend 👌

Much cleaner than the last two IHG properties I stayed at. Owner BJ is a gentleman, cares for his operation and is responsive, and is onsite. Will likely stay here again. Again, people: its clean, carpets, bath, everything.

So I’m giving this place 5 stars because it’s super affordable and exceptionally clean. But I’m posting these videos because I don’t understand the problem with a couple things and I hope the owners see this. Evidently sound doesn’t play on these reviews so I’ll provide subtitles. Vid one. “Squeak Squeak Squeak” Vid two. “Squeak Squeak Squeak Squeak Squeak Squeak” Vid three. “BONG!!! BONG!!!!” Vid four. “Thwack thwack thwack… why?” The metal bed frames are noisy. I was by myself so, not a problem. But if I was here with my wife and trying to enjoy a little special time she would be like.. “nah brah”. And this weird light above the bed that prevents any reclined relaxation? I don’t get it.

Older place, but the rates are very reasonable. The man that checked me in was very nice! I'd definitely stay here again.

Very clean for the price. I am very picky & was pleasantly surprised. My husband normally has trouble sleeping at most places, he woke up saying he slept great. We left to get breakfast & bum around a little, to our surprise they cleaned our room and made our bed. We have never had that happen anywhere before. The owners are very pleasant. The room stays warm & shower heats up immediately . I would definitely recommend & come back again.

I was in Iron Mountain for a couple of days for work and just needed a place to sleep. This place got the job done and I'm planning to stay there again in a month. It is an older motel type of property. I haven't stayed in one in a really long time and found it refreshingly easy to park 4 steps outside the door to my room. The room had older decor, but everything worked and was clean. The shower had good pressure. The bed was comfortable. There is coffee in the office in the morning staring at 6:30 and the owner offered a coffee maker for my room if I wanted it. The couple who own it are very helpful and friendly. It isn't fancy or luxury, but will stay there again for work next month.

Stayed over the July 4th weekend on a motor cycle road trip with my wife. Great place for a stop for us. Just about every other place around was $250 or more for a one night stay- I didn’t want to make a downpayment on the place- just stay the night. This motel for our needs perfectly. Old style motor inn, where you park in front of your room, just the way I like it. The room was clean and comfortable. The inn keeper is very personable. Is it fancy? N be ope. Does it give you what you need for a nights stay? Absolutely! So, if you need fancy- get out your wallet and make a downpayment on one of the other chain motels in town. We stayed for about $75 bucks and in no way regret it.
