Budget Gardens - Motel in Oxnard - 1500 S Oxnard Blvd, USA

Just called now and some Indian guy not sure if he is the manager but he didn't understand when I said Do You guys do Extended stays then I was talking and Just Completely hang up on ME!! DO YOUR JOBS AND STOP BE RUDE!!! I DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!!!

I never blame motel management about broken things in the room , shabby furniture , damage , graffiti etc. ITS THE PEOPLE , THE GUESTS who damage things and don't respect other peoples property are the root problem . Folk making a mess or tearing up something nice and then sitting on their rumps waiting for somebody else to fix and clean up after them while expecting the highest of quality and top notch service at minimal cost. WELL , YOU CANT HAVE IT BOTH WAYS !

The owner told us the AC isn't working, but he forgot to tell us that the bathroom door was also missing, which was pretty uncomfortable with three people in the room. You can't name one thing in the room that wasn't dirty, broken or both. All in all no garden on a way to high budget!

Lady was more interested in watching YouTube then helping me she call someone he did easy check in but they didn't have a remote u have too change the channel under the tv the shower didn't work they only give you one roll of toilet how r u supposed too wipe your a.. with one roll half of a roll they don't have u towels if they do it's little too loud

It was great as far as a roof over your head but as far as bugs and fixing certain things it needs work. They should hire staff to help fixing things and exterminator for the bugs. I highly recommend to keep to yourself at this motel

I was expecting a good first impression but after seeing this room and how organized the staff is, I decided they weren't the impressing type. So First the Staff is slow and unorganized, then I get to my room and I open the door and I see dust on the floor like nobodies swept, the curtains have holes in them and seem dirty like they haven't been dusted, the tv is out of date and the remote doesn't work with the tv or the cable service, the mirror was broken out the bathroom and put on top of the mini fridge, the sheets are dirty and the bed is made by thin linen sheets tucked under the mattress, NO REAL BED SHEETS, the doors have been messed up(can't really close/lock the door) and the bathroom too, it's graffiti on the walls, the shower needs remodeling, I don't know why these motel mangers or owners thought it was okay to leave a room like this. I'm so uncomfortable and so upset I damn near wanna ask for a refund. $375 on a week for this room and it's trashy as hell like NOBODY has cleaned it in the past 2 weeks. Budget Gardens needs to really be ashamed of themselves forreal, this is unacceptable, I wouldn't recommend this motel to ANYONE I know. If Y'all see this review, please take it serious because I literally just checked in and this is how my room was. Highly disappointed.

I've stayed in some rough motels before...but this one has got to be the most disgusting place I've ever been to. I felt compelled to tell others about this place after having stayed there for a night. We ended up at the Budget Garden because we arrived in town (Westlake Village) at like 1am, and literally no one else had any vacancies. We called literally 20 motels looking for a room. We were looking for any place that could provide us with clean beds and a shower. When we arrived, the owner of the establishment took us to our room. It seriously looked like a heavily used drug den, but thankfully we found no needles. We immediately noticed that the bed had no pillows, and when we pulled back the stained comforter we realized how disgusting the bed actually was. The weathered, napkin-looking mattress cover (which was too small for the mattress) was obscuring the hair and pee and puke stains below. There were NO SHEETS. So no pillows, no sheets!! Just a smelly, repulsive mattress and equally nauseating comforter :-( There was a desk haphazardly placed in the corner of the room, with an old tube TV on it. It was nice to have a desk, but there were no chairs sit on, so there was literally nowhere to sit but on the floor or the dirty bed. We turned the tube TV on and the picture was totally distorted. We found if you hit the TV just right the picture would come into focus for a short while. Seriously, why even put the TV in there if it doesn't work? Then I walked into the bathroom, which was actually relatively clean (the toilet was at least clean). But when I opened the medicine cabinet over the sink a roach crawled out. No I'm not hamming up the story either...a freaking roach crawled right out at me. Later we started joking about the obvious code violations in this place, and for grins we pulled the smoke alarm off the ceiling to check it, and sure enough it didn't have any batteries in it!!! I wonder how many of the other rooms were being occupied without adequate fire detection equipment? My friend and I ultimately ended up sleeping on top of the bed comforter, and I placed my arm between my head and the bed so my skin didn't come into direct contact with anything. I got the feeling that the room only received a very superficial cleaning, and I worried about what kinds of sores or rashes I might end up with should my cheek or lips come in contact with anything that's been in that motel for more than a few days. So...gross. Again, we only ended up at this place because there were literally no other rooms within an hour drive. None! And granted the room was only $50 (and we were only there for about 5 hours), but had I known how gross this place was, and the condition of the bed, I would have preferred to save my money and sleep in the car. I mean, no sheets or pillows on the bed? What the hell is up with that?!?! DON'T STAY AT THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE NO OTHER ALTERNATIVE. THEY COULD HAVE CHARGED ME $10 FOR THE ROOM AND IT WOULD HAVE BEEN TOO MUCH!!!

It's a Dive. Poor condition, with structural (part of a roof was collapsing), plumbing (fixture, other leaks), electrical (bad outlets and sockets) problems. Infested with 2-, 4-, 6 and 8- legged vermin. Unfriendly, Unhelpful, Unresponsive Staff. IMPORTANT: "Monthly" contracts are always 28 days long; they Will Be Negligent about telling you, then they throw you out! I am surprised they have not been shut down. AVOID THIS DUMP.
