We drove here from Kansas City- and we will be back FOR SURE! Everyone from the ticket office, to the rental office was so kind and helpful. We had an absolute blast, even when it was -10° we had huge smiles on our faces. We were not able to get private lessons, but next time I will for sure do that or group lessons. The prices are very reasonable. The food at the bar and grill was delicious too, and had a great view of the slopes so you could watch people run down while you enjoyed a hot cocoa. Can’t wait to come back one day!
Great place to go snow tubing with the family. It was the only tubing place open 12/23 despite the higher then usual temperatures.
Stopped by for the first time New Years Weekend after 3. Great price considering other places were charging $80+ Staff was helpful and friendly. Decent base of snow. EV charging was awesome. Only downside was following Kid who unplugged my charging cable.
Convient location, friendly staff & good food. The only place we could find in the area that offered tubing! Everyone had a blast!
Tubing here is not worth your time or your money. We spent more time waiting for the Warden standing at the top of the hill to tell us when we could go down the hill. We waited 20 minutes at the top of the hill. There were times that there was noone on the hill or at the bottom and we still had to wait! If you want a good tubing experience check out Badlands in Hudson. Our family loves that place.
I’d give it 5 stars because it really is functioning really well given the lack of snow/cold temps this year and I had fun, BUT not a place to being your kids learning to ski/snowboard. I saw only ONE instructor wearing a helmet. Every other instructor was wearing a beanie or nothing at all. I didn’t see a patroller the whole time until before I left- after spending 4 hours there. Wonderful place, but safety does not seem like it’s a primary goal
BUCK HILL IS NOT KID FRIENDLY. Been going to Buck on and off for years, but tonight was a total disappointment. My 8 year old daughter is a beginner snowboarder and and an overall tough kid. She gets off the magic carpet and the staff YELLS at her to keep both feet on her board. Everybody’s head turns. Mind you, she has not fallen off or caused the magic carpet to stop all night- and if she did, so what? It’s the bunny hill where everybody’s learning! I even hear another patron say “why’s he yelling at a child?” How embarrassing for her?! After this incident, she didn’t want to get on the magic carpet again. Honestly though, who likes to be publicly humiliated? Later in the night, I did notice they put a tiny sign up on the magic carpet window. I suggest you make a bigger more permanent sign if you’re going to yell at kids about it. Overall, staff needs more training on customer service and just general hospitality. I’ve never seen such immature staff at other ski resorts. Do better guys.
Please, if going for tubing, check out Badlands in Hudson first… way better. In our 2 hour time slot we were only able to go down the hill 4 times because we were waiting at the top of the hill waiting to go down. They have workers at the top, telling you when you can go. At one point, we waited 19 min to go down. A max number of 4 tubes chained together. Not worth what you pay for.
I have been going to the basic gym and I heard about this place. Geared towards bodybuilding, I wanted to go somewhere that is in that space. The equipment is something I have never seen before and the staff helped me right away my first time there.
