Wow! just wow! There is a museum tour and a cute gift shop - the people working there really love the history of the place! You can walk the loop for free and with pets! It's absolutely beautiful to make it a picnic day and enjoy the background of Brunswick. Highly recommend 👌🏻

We enjoyed the self guided tour of Brunswick Town and Ft. Anderson. We started at the visitor’s center, where we chatted with the staff about how to see everything. She told us that there was a group of archeology students with their professors who were excavating one of the old buildings. We later talked with them as we walked through the old town. We started with the indoor displays which told the history of the town and the fort, with artifacts and pictures. We then took the walking path, which is paved all the way around the site. It circles around and back to the visitors center, making it a pleasant walk. There is a low area with swamps beside the path, where alligators are sometimes seen. All we saw, however, was a small garter snake that was about two feet long. In addition to the foundations of the old buildings, you can see the embankments that were built as part of the old fort. There are some cannons which show how the fort was defended. As we circled back to the start we came to the St. Phillips Anglican Church ruins. We spent about an hour or so, and we could have stayed longer if we had the time. Enjoy your visit and take a trip back in time.

This is a great visit for anyone who loves history! They have an awesome museum and a walking trail with real ruins from the 1700's and 1800's. The best part about it is it is free!!!

Had an awesome time sharing this experience with my family. There's alot to see here. A gorgeous path through history showing the remnants of houses from the past. A video inside giving you the lowdown of the area. A Picknic area for eating lunch and public bathrooms that are well kept. And a small but informing and beautiful museum sections thats has multiple items on display. It was a great time and really recommend it for other families! Thank you!❤❤❤

I stopped by here on my way to Wilmington, and was amazed at how well kept up the property was. The literature posted in front of the historic sites that provide historic context were very fascinating and well written. There is a picnic area available for families and groups to enjoy a meal together and the sites are very close together. The walking path provides good ground to step on while taking in the scenery.
