Bruncheonette - Brunch restaurant in Spokane - 1011 W Broadway Ave, USA

Was in from out of town. I always look for places that serve things I can't get at home. The service was amazing. In fact I would say that sitting on the bar provided us with well above exceptional service and conversation. The food was impeccable. We shared the chicken and waffles (both were delicious) and the grits (we both would HIGHLY recommend the grits!). The combo of both dishes left nothing to be desired as they filled all the requirements for a spectacular breakfast. I wish I lived closer because I would turn this into a regular event in my life if it was an option.

I've been to Bruncheonette 3 or 4 times over the last couple of years. Each time, the service, food, and drinks were excellent. The Bloody Mary was one of the better ones that I have tried while dining out. It had a bit of spice, which was great because I love spicy Bloody Mary's. Per usual, my Verde hash packed the flavor and was perfect with the Habanero hot sauce drizzled over it. No matter what you order, you will be pleased. My favorites are the Verde hash and chorizo tacos. My friend ordered the shrimp and grits today, I tried a bite of her grits, and they were so good and had lots of flavor. This is a smaller, open space, so plan accordingly if you are going with a group. If you do have to wait, there is a beautiful view of the courthouse across the street. Do yourself a favor and go grab brunch!

I like it, coffee was a bit bitter for our taste. $3.50 was a bit much for 1 slice of bread, yes, there was house made strawberry jam, and honey butter, but...?

We first stopped by in Sep 2019 soon after they opened and we were really impressed with the quality of the food and service; so, we decided to stop by again 4 years later on a Saturday morning for brunch but this time we were unfortunately sadly disappointed. We got seated promptly but that was the only positive thing I can report. We ordered Chorizo Breakfast Tacos and a Loaded Scramble. Took nearly 30 mins to deliver our food which I suspect was not the fault of the kitchen but the server who had too many tables to handle. Food was not served hot because I'm sure it sat on the counter at the kitchen pass for several minutes until our server finally got around to delivering it. The Chorizo breakfast tacos were delivered with under-cooked “grilled” corn tortillas and was barely warm to the touch. The country potato medley was also served at room temperature with overcooked potatoes that looked like they had been sitting around on a plate for an hour or two – definitely not hot and crispy and freshly cooked! The Loaded Scramble was also served cold with very dry scrambled eggs. When our food was finally delivered, I asked for some hot sauce which took more than 10 minutes to get delivered. What really ticked me off is that I didn't notice that they include a 16% service charge but they don't point that out! This restaurant used to deliver freshly cooked food cooked to perfection with exceptional service but that is unfortunately not what they are doing now. We'll not be back!

Unbelievably amazing food, atmosphere and service! We had a 45 minute wait and went to REI to shop while we waited so it didn’t even feel like a bad wait time. Once seated we ordered such fun beverages, and it was the exact Sunday brunch vibes we were looking for. The service was exceptional! The food was so amazing! Best biscuits and gravy ever! Serious. Chicken and waffles, as well as the chicken fried steak were amazing! All of our meals were so delicious and the flavors were perfect! We can’t wait to come back!

Fun and different breakfast options. I had the tamale waffle which was delicious. My friends had the biscuits and gravy which they also said was very good. Staff are all very polite and efficient.

In town for a quick trip. As per usual googling (breakfast) restaurants. The photos looked appealing and the reviews were good. We were seated pretty quick as the restaurant had only opened an hour before. Ordered OJ and french press coffee took 10 minutes to get our drinks. We ordered our food when our server brought our drinks. Fast forward 40 minutes to finally getting our food. Both a simple order. 2 eggs over medium (that they fried hard)with bacon , and a yogurt bowl. How those took 40 minutes I'm still not sure. After even further delay of getting our bill and returning it back after the card was swiped. From a different perspective. They have outdoor seating that hasn't been cleaned in a while with leaves and garbage pushed against the glass. If they can't take a moment to sweep what else aren't they doing?

So glad we tried this place. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Food was the star! We tried the tamale waffle and the fried chicken sandwich. Tamale waffle is so inventive and tasted exactly like a tamale, the meat was tender and delicious, eggs cooked to order. Seriously so good! The fried chicken sandwich was honestly the best we've ever had. Super crispy, perfectly fried chicken, cheese grilled onto the brioche bun, picked jalapeños, aoili, PERFECTION!! Got it wth the tots and those were also cooked and seasoned perfectly. We will definitely be back!!! ❤️
